Review of Wow Skin Science Coconut Super Rich Facial Toner

Although I love taking care of my skin, I have always been minimalist when it comes to the amount of products I put on my face. Even if there are short spells where I would do layering of skincare products one after another (Like Korean skincare regime), that ‘season’ does not last long; I get tired of it pretty soon. But what I truly have experienced in all these years is that a good toner can do wonders for your skin, even if your ‘cleanser’ is just a facewash and your ‘moisturizer’ is just another bottle of the counter. Especially if your skin is dry-normal like mine, a good hydrating toner does wonders to retain the glow on your face. I absolutely loved the thick and gel-like toners from Klairs and The Face Shop (Read their comparison review HERE), but they literally tumble my monthly budget because of their high prices. But toners in my budget are almost all alcohol-based which means they are clarifying but not ‘hydrating’, until I Wow Skin Science released their hydrating toner in pocket friendly price! Read on to see if it could impress me as much as the pricey toners did.

My Take: The toner comes in a dark-tinted plastic spray bottle housed inside a sturdy carton box. The spray top has a clear plastic lid which I am not very fond of. I have lost it already :D The toner is obviously not like the viscous gel like consistency of Klairs Supple Preparation toner (Read review HERE) or The Face Shop Chia Seed Hydrating toner. The consistency of Wow Super Rich Coconut Toner is totally watery like the Biotique Honey Water Toner.

There is no strong chemical smell, but rather a very sweet toasted coconut-y fragrance (The baker in me is speaking!). I need two three sprays to cover my whole face and neck. There is no stinging sensation since it is a non-alcoholic toner, something which I love about this! After spraying, I let it rest for 30 seconds and then lightly dab with my fingertips and follow up with my facial oil or moisturizer. I have almost finished the bottle and can swear by how effective this on my dry and tired skin. My skin-feel is fresh and supple every morning. There were no breakouts either. There is definitely as difference in my skin when I just clean and moisturize versus when I also use a good toner in between.
