Review of Gala Of London Long Stay Lip Color #05 Twig
Review of Gala Of London Long Stay Lip Color #05 Twig
Hey ladies! Today review will be a sort of continuation of Elegant Eves’ craze over budget finds. Remember the swatch fest of Miss Claire liquid lipsticks and the recent 7 Heaven’s Chubby sticks? All of them are budget buys which are top notch in quality. So my “budget craze” led me to get another matte lipcolor for you :D And this time the shade is for all those who want to venture into orange lip colors but are shying away from ‘in your face’oranges. Read on girls! :D

Review & Swatches of 7 Heaven’s Photogenic Chubby Lip Crayon
Review & Swatches of 7 Heaven’s Photogenic Chubby Lip Crayon
Hey beauties! I am bubbling with excitement as I am writing this post because that’s how I feel when I manage to come across products which are dirt cheap but good. So we all know about the famous Chubby sticks from Clinique and their more “affordable” matte versions in Revlon Matte balms, don’t we? Now don’t ask me why but I do not own a single of those. Clinique ones never appealed to me because of their sheer texture and the shades of the Revlon range didn’t seem like a “must have” to me. But the other day, I was “window shopping” in Instagram makeup stores (I have about a hundred of them in my list!) and I came across this store called “bgirly_cosmetics” which was selling these chubby sticks. The packaging seemed an exact mix of Clinique and Revlon Matte balms and I was intrigued. The lady behind this page told me it was 7 Heaven’s Photogenic Chubby Lip Crayons. What made me buy 7 of them? Read on and find out! :)

Review/Swaches of Mary Lou Manizer
Review/Swaches of Mary Lou Manizer
Hey beauties!! Although you will find mostly budget finds on Elegant Eves, but sometimes we just cannot ignore some cult favourite products which are famous worldwide, can we? So I decided to stretch my budget a bit more and grab the highlighter which is claimed to be one of the best champagne gold highlighters available worldwide. Yes, we are talking about Mary Lou Manizer from The Balm Cosmetics. The Balm cosmetics have their range of famous “Manizer sisters” which comprises of Mary Lou (Champagne Gold), Cindy Lou (Pinkish Pearl), and Betty Lou (Bronze gold) highlighters which are available as single pieces or as set of three as well. My majorly yellow toned skin does not pair well with pink or silvery highlighters so I skipped Cindy Lou and Betty Lou was darker for my skin. So yes, Mary Lou it was! Read on to find more

Read on to find why I used the word “Magic”.

Review of Inveda Glow Face Pack with Comforting Apricot and Orange
Review of Inveda Glow Face Pack with Comforting Apricot and Orange
Hey girls! The last reviews were mostly on makeup products and today I felt I should give my two cents on a product I have been using quite regularly these days (weekly!) and which falls under my favourite category of reviews: Skincare! Most you who know me are already aware of my obsession with DIY face masks or any beauty recipe “cooked up” at home! (Read Elegant Eves extensive list of DIY beauty recipes HERE) Inveda is a brand I quite like these days (Read review of Inveda BB cream HERE). Read on to see if this face mask impressed me as much as their BB cream did:

Review of fake MAC eyeshadows
Review/Swatches/Ingredients of Fake MAC Spring Color Forecast-4 Eyeshadow Quad
Hey all! This review isn’t going to be a normal review. As the title itself says, it is about a “FAKE” product: A fake MAC product to be precise. We all are aware of endless shopping pages on Instagram which sells fakes of almost every high end brand possible: be it MAC, Balm cosmetics, Kylie Jenner cosmetics, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Too Faced- they have it all. Why, they don’t even spare drugstore brands like Colorpop and NYX! Yes, they have fake Colorpops out there as well. While people like us who are a bit literate in the field of makeup can distinguish which ones are fake, I see tons of unsuspecting ladies buying fakes and believing it to be true. Read on to see what was the point of me buying a fake MAC product when I knew perfectly well this is not the original?

All swatches of Lakme Absolute Illuminating Foundation
Review/Swatches of Lakme Absolute Illuminating Foundation
Hi beauties! You all are aware of my obsession with dewy, healthy looking skin and my distaste for any product which causes a “mask like” matte and heavy effect on skin. For this reason, I am always drawn towards my favourite foundation till date- The MAC Face and Body Foundation (Read Review HERE) for the luminous glow it gives to my face (I have never tried it on my body because hello? That tiny bottle costs a fortune! -_-) I had recently also tried the Inveda BB cream (Read Review HERE) which has become my second favourite after MAC for its light soufflé like texture. But ever since there have been ads of the Lakme “illuminating” range of products which the company claims that the backstage experts at the Lakme Fashion week have been using, I had been searching online for face products other than lipsticks and eyeshadows. I finally found the “Illuminating” foundation in stock at Nykaa and promptly added it to the cart. Much to my surprise, there is no review ANYWHERE in the net on this foundation :-o Read on to know more about this foundation and yes, all of its shades! ;)

Rains and the war against water spotting
Hey everyone, today I am back again with another “not so common” article in Elegant Eves. The other day, as I sat sipping on a warm cup of tea after a long day of work and was lazily gazing at the light drizzle through my window, I suddenly had a “draught” of nostalgia! For those who do not know me that well, I belong to the “land of monsoons”-Assam. For us, rains form almost 90% of childhood memories. There is a constant drizzle almost perennially and the “showers of blessings” increase during the month of June-July. As much as movies have romanticised rains, people living in places like Assam will tell how the “other side” of it. Read on to find why I am blabbering about this all of a sudden!
