Review of Inglot Duraline
Review of Inglot Duraline |
Hey girlies! This review was long pending from my
side. I somehow always forgot to write about this little pot of magic every
time I sat down to blog. But recently, I have been maintaining a journal and
that has helped me keep a record of every product/review I have been wanting to
post in the blog :) So here you go! Read on to find why I
used the word “Magic”.

Packaging:
It
comes in a tiny glass bottle with black plastic cap and a glass dropper. The
bottle is almost the size of a regular nail polish bottle just a tad longer and
thinner. I like how handy it is but at the same time I find the back cap
loosening sometimes which can be a menace while travelling. The bottle is
encased in a white cardboard box just like other Inglot products (Read about Inglot Face and Body Illuminator HERE)

My
Take:
Now, although it claims to turn “Inglot eyeshadows”into a liquid formulation,
this liquid is basically designed to rarefy any makeup pigment and not just
Inglot eyeshadows.
This colourless and odourless liquid is of a runny
consistency almost like oil. But thankfully the finish is not anything oily.

I had bought
this before my wedding so that my
eyeshadows “pop”. But as expected, the wedding strain completely took toll on
me and I just let my MUA do her job and use her own products! If you know me,
you will understand very well that I am not the makeup hoarder kind; I do not
buy any product just because it is a new launch, or has a fancy packaging or
the entire word says it is a “Must have”. I buy makeup when I need it. Plain as
that! I needed something to act as a primer for my shadows, make my shadows
lasting and also rescue my dried up gel liners. Inglot Duraline seemed like the
only “affordable” option :D
I use Inglot Duraline in the following ways:
1.
As
an eye-shadow primer to make any shadow long lasting.
2.
As
an “intensifier” to make any eye shadow vibrant.
3.
Creating
custom eyeshadow shades by mixing two eyeshadows with some Duraline.
4.
Rescuing
dried up gel liners and avoiding unnecessary repurchasing.
5. Using it with any coloured
eyeshadow to make custom coloured eyeliners! (Without shelling out any more
money)
How
I use it? Although there is a very pretty dropper attached
with the bottle which dispenses just the right amount of drops, I prefer to
just pat my brush in some Duraline and then use that brush to apply eyeshadow.
You may also miss up some eyeshadow and Duraline in a mixing palette if you
want. Also, three to five drops of Duraline is sufficient to revive any dried
up gel liner.

Time for swatches ladies!!! Now, I did not use any Inglot eyeshadows here
because they are already super pigmented. (Read review of Inglot eyeshadows HERE) I used up some expired eyeshadow palette (Yes! Don’t let those pigments
make you think that I wasted eyeshadow). In the first swatch see how less pigmented
they are.
And this is how they look when the brush is moist
with two drops of Duraline and then used over the shadows. Isn’t it AMAZING???
:D I regret letting these eyeshadows expire in my kit thinking they are no good
pigmentation wise L Also, with the base as Duraline, the
shadows stay on the lids for a really long time. On my normal-dry lids, they
stay on till I remove them!

Duraline has not irritated my skin and I cannot
recommend this product enough!
·
It
will help you save money by letting you stick to that gel liner instead of
throwing it away.
·
Have
a PLETHORA of colored liners with your eyeshadows instead of spending around
500-600 on each colored eyeliner pencil
·
Lets you skip the heavily priced eyeshadow
primer and have equally good results.
·
The
quantity lasts really long because a very little amount is required.
