Sivanna Baked Eyeshadow No.12
Eyeshadow under Rs.150- Sivanna Baked Eyeshadow #12

Hey lovely people! As promised after my Sivanna cosmetics haul (Check entire haul here), I have started using each product now and detailed individual reviews will follow now. In that context, have you read the review on Sivanna Makeup Crown Lipstick? They are the affordable dupes of ChristianLouboutin lipsticks :D Moving ahead with this review, although I am a fan of eyeshadow palettes more than single shades because palettes seem more economical and travel friendly, when I spotted this affordable baked eyeshadow, I could not refrain myself. Read on to find out all details

Makeup brush sets under Rs.500 in India
Makeup brush sets under Rs.500 in India

Hey lovelies! All of you know my love for beauty finds in budget. It is a well known fact that almost all of us today’s makeup fans began our journey with inexpensive picks from local market. Even today, there are thousands of beauties who would like to experiment with makeup and tools but the ridiculous price tags refrains them. I remember paying Rs.990 for a lipstick (MAC) seemed like a crime to me during my student days. Things have changed now and even I have my favourite picks from high end brands, but what has not changed is my love for budget finds which are high in quality but not pocket pinching. One of the most essential things to start your makeup with is a set of decent brushes. But I personally know women (and I myself am one of them) for whom spending Rs.2000 on a single brush (branded ones) seems insane. All my makeup brushes are unbranded ones bought from Chinese websites and they are going strong since the last two years with no shedding. The bristles are smooth and they haven’t turned scratchy as well. Thankfully, Amazon has started stocking those kinds of brushes finally and today I have picked five such sets which look promising on quality. Read on to find out Makeup brush sets under Rs.500 in India!

Sivanna Crown Lipstick Swatch India
Sivanna Colors Crown lipstick #10 Review, Swatches

Hey ladies, in my previous post you saw that I picked up some Sivanna Colors products and I was almost swooning over the packaging of the products as well as the swatch quality. Today’s post will be a detailed review on the most beautiful looking product among that lot: The Crown Pegasus Brilliant lipstick- phew! Quite a name, isn’t it? I picked up shade number 10 since it seemed like a classic old Hollywood red. Also, worth mentioning is that this lipstick is complete dupe of  the droolworthy Christian Louboutin’s Rouge lipsticks. So all you people wanting an affordable dupe of Christian Louboutin lipsticks, look no further! Without further ado, let’s start with the review.

Sivanna Makeup all swatches
Sivanna Colors Makeup Haul/ First Impressions, Swatches

Hey beauties! As promised over our Instagram handle, here is a peek into what I picked up from Sivanna Cosmetics recently. Probably this is my first ever “haul” post. I do not like hoarding makeup unnecessarily, so it is very rare that I buy more than two or three products together. So many latest launches with fancy packaging (except the ones sent by brand PR) are not reviewed here. But I wanted to try more Sivanna Cosmetics which is a brand from Thailand mainly because of their extremely affordable nature and good quality as per reviews. Also, since I was extremely happy with their Primer and their Bronzer palette (Read review HERE and HERE), I was expecting similar good quality from these picks as well. Did they fare well? Check out

Milani Even Touch Powder Foundation Fresco review India
Milani Even Touch Powder Foundation Fresco

Hey girls! I was never a heavy base makeup person and I have always steered clear of anything which masks my skin. Heavy full coverage foundations are not my friends. My skin is normal to dry and tends to get slightly oily and sweaty in the T zone in humid weather. So my all time favourite is a medium coverage powder and MAC Face and Body foundation for special occasions (only because it is almost like water). I thought I had got my perfect face powder in Lotus Ecostay Powder in shade Royal Ivory because of its insanely soft milled texture, yellow tones and great coverage. But unfortunately, after finishing two pans, the powder got out of stock everywhere L Ever since then I have been trying to find a daily wear foundation powder with decent coverage which I can use on a daily basis as well as for special occasions. It was then I stumbled across Milani Even Touch Powder foundation in Nykaa. Googling for swatches of shades, I ended up ordering Fresco since it seemed to be a medium beige with yellow tones (I wear MAC Face and Body in Shade C3)

Katan Silk Banarasi Saree
Katan Silk Banarasi Saree

Hello everyone! After your lovely response on my previous post “Kimkhwab Banarasi: My obsession with handloom sarees”, it is time now for the next post on this rich heritage handloom. Today we are talking about another variant of the Banarasi saree: Katan Banarasi. The Katan banarasi is made of pure silk and the original katan silk sarees are extremely soft and lightweight. The one we will display here today is one of my most prized possessions since this saree was worn by my mother on her wedding reception 37 years ago J

Easy chocolate biscuit brick: Recipe with pictures
Hellllloooo everyone! Ever since I moved to Mumbai with my husband and finally have my getting to experiment in my own kitchen (which was preceded by 8 years of hostel and PG life), I have been taking time out to prepare dishes which are easy to make (absolutely necessary considering the stressful workplace I have) and yet can bring a huge smile on his face J Many of you have been pushing me for a food blog and I have been smiling and telling a “no” simply because it is not possible for me to start yet another blog in this crazy hectic life of Mumbai. But finally I have decided to start sharing easy-peesy recipes in Elegant Eves itself so that my darling readers can join in the party ;) Please remember I am no professional and I will try to explain the recipes in as simple language as possible, but if there are flaws, constructive criticism is most welcome J So, our first dish just HAS to be a dessert :D A choco brick! Let’s get started
