Dupe list of MAC lipsticks in affordable brands
Hey beauties! As promised in the Facebook
page of Elegant Eves, here is the post on affordable dupes of MAC lipsticks. Currently, there are only four lipsticks listed, but it
will be updated continuously J It is to be remembered
that not all are EXACT dupes because it is literally impossible to always find
a totally same lipstick in other brands, but the listed lipsticks are CLOSE and
VERY SIMILAR to the MAC lipstick in question. Staying power of most affordable
dupes are lesser than MAC lipsticks (for obvious reasons!) and so this will not
be stated with every picture. Some may look slightly different in the wrist
swatch, but are listed here because they look same on lips. With your
cooperation, this list can grow and it can be your ultimate MAC dupe list

1. MAC Ruby Woo and Lakme 9 to
5 lipstick in Red Coat:
Since Ruby Woo is a cult classic red, I
have done a separate post on its similarity with Lakme Red Coat. You can read

2. MAC Mocha and Lakme Enrich
Satin no. 129
These two are completely same color-wise
and vary in texture only. Mocha is semi-matte finish (Satin Range of MAC) and
Lakme 129 is cream finish. Mocha is now priced at Rs.1450 and Lakme Enrich
Satin lipsticks are priced at Rs.225.
3. MAC Captive and Lakme Enrich
Satin no. 267
MAC Captive is a true berry pink color
and a close dupe of it is Lakme Enrich Satin no. 267. Although, the latter is ONE SHADE DARKER than Captive, it can be used as a
dupe of Captive by blotting it once after application. MAC Captive is now
priced at Rs.1450 and Lakme Enrich Satin lipsticks are priced at Rs.225
4. MAC Impassioned and
Maybelline Colorsensational Pink Alert POW2
Both are true hot-pinks verging on the
neon side and POW2 is claimed to be a dupe of Impassioned. The wrist swatch
shows that POW2 has more blue tones than Impassioned and the latter almost
seems like a warm bright pink beside POW2. But on application, both look very
similar on lips and thus POW2 can be a dupe of MAC Impassioned. MAC Impassioned
is now priced at Rs.1450 and Maybelline POW2 is priced at Rs.425
