Sivanna Colors 3D Waterproof Brow’s Secret (03 Dark Brown)-Review/Swatches
Sivanna Colors 3D Waterproof Brow’s Secret (03 Dark Brown)-Review/Swatches

All of you know my affinity towards budget makeup products and those which give great results at an affordable rate. I have reviewed a couple of affordable eyebrow grooming products already in the blog (Read HERE and HERE), and today is the turn of another such eyebrow product from one of my favorite budget brands- Sivanna Colors. This product claims to contain a pencil, a brow powder and a brow gel/mascara all in one pen! I wanted to see if it is really worth the hype. Below is a detailed review of the same. Read on!

Sivanna Colors Prisme Libre Mat-finish and Enhanced Radiance Loose Powder-03
Sivanna Colors Prisme Libre Mat-finish and Enhanced Radiance Loose Powder-03

We all love good quality dupes of high-end brands, don’t we? With them we can get an idea of how that particular cosmetic might look on us, but without that heavy price tag. Dupes are different from fakes. While fake cosmetics (Read a fake MAC eyeshadow review HERE) copy everything, even the brand name and contains potentially dangerous ingredients at times, dupes mainly copy only the product shade or type and packages it under their own brand name. But what when you find a dupe which has copied the name, shades, packaging from a higher-end brand, but has maintained its brand name? Yes, Sivanna Colors has come up with an exact dupe of Givenchy Prisme Libre Mat Finish and Enhanced Radiance Loose powder. Let’s see how it fared on me.

How to wear a Banarasi Dupatta and stay comfortable
How to wear a Banarasi Dupatta and stay comfortable

Most of you know my craze for anything handloom and handwoven. That love increases manifold when it is something as royal and intricate as the weaves of Banaras: Banarasi sarees. You have seen me style a Kimkhab Banarasi saree (See HERE) and an inherited 37 year old pure Katan silk Banarasi saree (See HERE). It is my humble attempt to reinstate the love for these amazing handwoven treasures by the weavers of Banaras amidst our generation so that it does not get lost. While I love my Banarasi sarees (even wore them for my wedding and reception), I know many who are not comfortable in sarees. So, this post is for them. Yes, you can adorn this beautiful handwoven jewel from Banaras in an easy-to carry dupatta form as well!
J Read on to find out how I styled a Banarasi dupatta.

Sivanna Colors Candy Lollipop Lipstick-19
Sivanna Colors Candy Lollipop Lipstick-19

I had received this lipstick as a freebie with my Sivanna Colors Makeup haul (Check the entire haul post HERE). Although freebies excite me since childhood, this particular shade (Shade 19. Yes, the Candy Lollipop range of lipsticks from Sivanna have numbers instead of names) was a disappointment-at-first sight :P Sivanna Colors Candy Lollipop Lipstick-19 is a perfect peachy beige shade that you might love as a concealer or undereye brightener. It might also serve as a good nude shade for porcelain skinned beauties but for a strongly yellow-tone medium-tan complexioned person like me, I just could not make it work for my skin. Even a stark nude shade like MAC Kinda Sexy lipstick worked very well for me (read whole review here), but not this lipstick. So did I throw this bullet away? Or did I find some other way to use this tube up? Read on for a short review on this lipstick and how I use it now.

Nykaa skingenius foundation review warm sand
Nykaa SKINgenius Sculpting & Hydrating Foundation Review

While the beauty market is flooded with products for oily or combination skinned people these days, you would find it really hard to get a foundation for yourself in budget if your skin is normal-dry. Mostly because, almost all foundations in the Indian market these days settles to matte finish. My skin falls in the normal-dry type and naturally, I had no option in the budget foundations. Also, since I like my foundations to be sheer, buildable and natural-looking, I had finally decided t get myself MAC Face and body foundation which is the holy grail for dry skinned people like me (Read review of shade C4 HERE and C3 HERE). But spending 2500/- INR for 50 ml of product is as heartbreaking for me as it is for you L Naturally, my excitement was on the high when Nykaa SKINgenius Sculpting & Hydrating Foundation was released! I ordered shade 03 Warm Sand. Read on to find out how it fared and is it similar to MAC Face and Body foundation!
