Review of Gia Bath & Body Works September Monthly Deluxe Subscription Box

Hey ladies,
As most of you know, beauty subscription boxes have become a rage in the beauty world. Subscription boxes contain samples of various products and you can get the experience of these products in smaller quantities before spending a whole lot on them. Many brands have been coming up with such kind of boxes which give you various product samples in different months. Somehow, I have never ordered any subscription box till now, but when my favorite handmade products brand, Gia Bath & Body Works also came up with this concept I couldn’t resist! :D Read on to find out what I feel about Gia Bath & Body Works first ever subscription box:

Review of Just Herbs Af’fair Fumittory-Liquorice Skin Lightening Cream
Hey all, continuing the bandwagon of skincare product reviews on Elegant Eves, today’s review will be on my recent choice for night cream. Now I am the kind of person who can go on for DAYS without any makeup but tell me to survive a SINGLE day without a moisturizing cream, I will stare at you open-mouthed like I have heard an alien language! Yes, my normal-dry skin does not let me survive without a emolient cream at my disposal always.

Skin18 sheet masks red ginseng
Skin18.com and Introduction to Sheet Masks

Hiyaaa people! You all know by now that I believe in having a healthy skin rather than having to layer it up everyday with foundations and concealers (Lazybum alert: cough! Cough!) I am a fan of homemade skincare rituals, but I cannot deny that they require much time and effort. I try readymade products every now and then for this reason. So when the new online shopping baby on the block contacted me for a collaboration, I could not be more happy.

Bengali Bridal Costume jewellery

Hey all, this post is going to be on one thing very important for a bride-to-be but is often ignored (especially in small towns): Costume jewellery for the various functions in wedding. Let’s face it,in most Bengali weddings we do not splurge on gold sets for every function. The one or two “heavy” sets are kept aside for the main day and reception party. Also, since we mostly wear traditional Bengali sarees for rituals like “gaye holud” (Haldi), “ashirbaad” etc, Kundan jewellery (although looks grand) does not really match with the Bengali sarees.
We do get a plethora of options for costume jewellery which are gold look-alikes in Kolkata, but unfortunately I am not there now (Heck! I am not even at my home now) :( So I am having to rely on online stores for most of wedding shopping.

Hello all... I am sure all you ladies will agree that no discussion on wedding is complete until we talk about the BIG thing called wedding attire! Belonging to a nation with MYRIAD types of wedding dresses makes us spoilt for choice indeed. But the flip side of the coin is, we become crazy with confusion as to what to wear, which ones would suit us, what colors to combine etc etc. For the records, I have been dreaming about what to wear on my wedding day since this time J

Bblunt Blown Away hair spray
Review and Demo of Bblunt Blown Away Volumizing Leave-In Spray

There are broadly two kinds of people in this world when it comes to hair issues: One with myriad hair problems but good volume, and other with silky soft “dream hair” but zero volume. I fall into the latter. It is as if the Creator is repeatedly telling me “Good things come in lesser quantities” -_-
Cutting it short, I have silky and manageable hair but they are fine, limp and the scalp goes oily again after 24 hours of wash! I was always on a lookout for something which will “wake” my limp hair roots to give an illusion of fuller hair, but the high price tags of those products made me go bonkers. Until......I found this! Read on to see if it fulfilled my dream of having voluminous hair.

Mirenesse Marble Mineral Blush-Carrara Coral
Hey beauties! Today’s review will be on the first ever luxury product featured on Elegant Eves. It is from the Australian brand Mirenesse famous for their mineral rich products. If you remember my Luxola Haul post (HERE), you must have noticed how excited I was about the gorgeous blushes I had received. I was extremely excited about this particular one as it resembles a “pot of sunshine” for me :D Read to find out how it fared.

Hello beauties.... Its been very long since my last post on Bridal Banter. Apologies :) Continuing with the essence of a beautiful Bengali bride, after the wedding saree post (Read HERE), next place is surely grabbed by the jewellery. Before I go on with this post, let me clarify one important point; something which I also mentioned in the Benaroshi Saree post: Just because I like Bengali bridal jewellery, doesn’t mean I dislike the other kinds. What irks me is the fact that, inspite of so many traditional options for jewellery designs available in the various states of India, we are now just aping the Bollywood :-/ Result? A Punjabi bride = a Bengali Bride = a Gujrati bride = an Assamese bride and so on. Opinions will differ, but I personally feel that you look your best when you stick to your traditional touch on your special day J And yes, there ARE many scopes to ‘customize’ the tradition into something you will love ;) Just ditch the flashy magazines and put on your thinking caps :D
