Review of Inveda Glow Face Pack with Comforting Apricot and Orange
Review of Inveda Glow Face Pack with Comforting Apricot and Orange |
Hey girls! The last
reviews were mostly on makeup products and today I felt I should give my two
cents on a product I have been using quite regularly these days (weekly!) and
which falls under my favourite category of reviews: Skincare! Most you who know
me are already aware of my obsession with DIY face masks or any beauty recipe “cooked
up” at home! (Read Elegant Eves extensive list of DIY beauty recipes HERE) Inveda is a brand I quite like
these days (Read review of Inveda BB cream HERE). Read on to see if this face mask impressed me as much as their
BB cream did:

Packaging:
Like all other Inveda products this face mask too comes in a “burst of earthy
colors” in orange, gold and copper. The tub packaging comes with a gold lid and
an inner white lid. I personally like tube packaging better because of hygiene
issues but since I always scoop out an amount with freshly washed and dried
fingers and do not reinsert my finger into the tub between applications, so
that isn’t much of a problem. The tub is not very heavy and the lip secures
tightly which makes it travel-friendly.

My
take: Being a full-on DIY herbal ubtan kind of person, I rarely used packaged face mask.
But every once in a while, after a long and especially tiring day at work, all
I want is a quick face wash and soothing mask without having to grind, pound,
mix etc to make an ubtan. That’s where this pack came in. The pack claimed to
be suitable for all skin types and adding moisture and softening fine lines as
well. I chose this pack for these reasons an also because it did not claim any “instant”
lightening ( I hate fairness products!)

The pack has a thick cream kind of consistency and
the brand advises to use this on moist skin. That way it spreads better. It is
white in colour and has a very sweet yet
citrusy fragrance. It is not like those sickening chemical fragrances which
“whitening” packs have. Since it says “apply evenly and thinly” I find myself
taking applying dots all over my face with this and then gently massaging the
pack while spreading it over my face. The pack feels very emollient and within
minutes I have an even application. It is not like those heavy clay masks at
all.

The first thing I
noticed after the pleasant fragrance was the
cooling and immensely relaxing sensation it gives. That is mostly because
of the menthol present in it. But I don’t mind it at all because it actually
feels good on my skin! I keep this pack on for about 15 minutes until it is
semi dry and then wash off with plain tap water (Unlike warm water mentioned in
the instructions since I fear that would strip off moisture from my skin)

I was pleasantly surprised how fresh, clean, glowing and
nourished my skin looked after I washed the pack off. Also, the skin was
not dry and stretchy at all and at the same time there was no extra oiliness :D
It completely took off all tiredness my face had after a long day at office. I
loved the effect so much that I make it a point to use it once every 5 days
just before going to bed.
Also, considering how
little is required everytime, this pot is going to last atleast 3 months to say
the least. Overall, I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to
everyone who is looking for a “before bedtime skincare wonder” and has little
time to spare for DIY ubtans.
