Review of Biotique Bio Honey Water Clarifying Toner
Review of Biotique Bio Honey Water Clarifying Toner |
As I promised in
my last post on Biotique Bio Pineapple and Bio Berberry cleansers, here is the
thing I have been using for the next step in CTM routine- Biotique Bio Honey
Water Clarifying Toner. I dislike alcohol-based toners as they tend to dry up
my already dry skin even more. So, when I read up the ingredients of this toner
from Biotique and found it to be non-alcohol based toner, I decided to give
this a try. Read on to find if this toner worked for my normal-dry skin and my
mother’s dry skin or not?

Packaging: A cylindrical plastic bottle with a dark green cap
inside a paper carton box. Although the screw caps shut quite well, I find
round cylindrical shaped bottles a hassle to carry when travelling since they
take up space. They are quite ok for regular use in homes though.
My Take: This toner is pale pink in color (looks colorless when squeezed onto palm) and smells very fresh. There is no
stinging feel when applied on skin (one point which differentiates it from
alcohol-based toners). I use this toner after cleansing my face with the
cleanser from the same range (Review of Bio Berberry Cleanser). My skin is
comparatively problem-free, expect some open pores around my nose. Although
there is no “magical” reduction of pores immediately after applying this toner, I definitely see “tautness” in skin immediately after and a fresh smooth skin in the next morning. My mother, who is nearing 60 and has dry skin, is also using this toner and is quite satisfied with it.
Overall, I am
quite happy with this toner since it is giving me fresh and taut skin without
drying out my skin further. There is another toner from Biotique range called
Bio-Cucumber which is meant for normal-oily skin. I skipped that because of
obvious reasons. Maybe I shall try that in summers when my T-zone gets a tad
oily.
