Review of Deyga Hair Serum Liquid Gold

Deyga’s hair serum was another product I ordered in my Deyga haul. After having quite satisfactory results from their undereye cream (Full review HERE) and amazingly good results from their Rosehip Seed Oil (Full review HERE), I was expecting similar effects from the hair serum. I am not a person who believes that applying something on the scalp can stop hair fall and strongly belief in a good diet which provides food for the hair to grow. However, I love serums since they are applied on the hair shaft for a temporary relief from dryness. Staying in a place which is notorious for hard water, my original soft silky strands are a thing of past now and I was looking for a nourishing serum for the strands. Did this serum serve the purpose or was I in for a surprise? Read on to find out!

My Take: Packed in a dark tinted glass bottle with a dropper applicator, the Deyga Hair serum is a blend of oils, completely unlike the other silicon serums we are generally accustomed to. Also, the bottle mentions the following “Drop some liquid gold on to scalp and give a gentle massage for the serum to penetrate”. Hmmm, interesting. So I was supposed to treat this as hair oil instead of serum? 

The first day I applied it only to my hair strands on freshly shampooed hair as I normally do with other serums. But from the next time, I decided to use it as instructed on the bottle since I didn’t need to bother about oily hair (Am staying at home since the lockdown). Also, since I have already lost most of my hair due to severe hairfall since the last year owing to bad water, I saw no harm in trying out a blend of oils. So next day, on towelled-dried damp scalp and hair, I applied two three drops of the ‘serum’ and gave light massage, I massaged the remaining serum left in my palms on my hair. The immediate effect was a smoothening of my hay-like strands (Which quite honestly is expected from a serum). But what I DID NOT expect is this: My hairfall stopped by 90% in these two weeks of using this serum! I am amazed, incredulous and surprised all at once. I am applying two drops of this serum on my scalp every day after shower and sometimes even after my bedtime shower at night and my house-help literally asked me what I was doing for my hair since she is not getting any loose fallen strands while cleaning the house :D My comb is clean even when I comb my wet hair.

I did not expect this AT ALL. To say am satisfied with this serum would be an understatement. This actually proved to be “Liquid Gold” for me. I am definitely buying a second bottle after this gets over. If you think you would like this too, you can buy it from HERE
