So I had bought my first Colourpop goodies more than a month back but new mommy duties didn’t allow me to try them properly. I had bought Ultra Matte liquid lip colors Top8 and Arriba. Since Top8 seemed to be a dusty pink shade, I had tried that on my lips first. It felt drying and the shade seemed to wash out my skintone. Heavily disappointed, I did not pick up Arriba until today since I guessed it would have the same formula as Top8 and I would be disappointed once more. But I was wrong! Read on to find out more

Price:
$ 6.50 for 3.2g (0.11oz) Indian sellers charge from Rs.450 to Rs.800 for Coloupop liquid
lipsticks. I paid Rs.700 for this.
Ingredients:
ISODODECANE,
DIISOPROPYL DIMER DILINOLEATE, NYLON-12, TRIMETHYLSILOXYSILICATE, SILICA,
POLYPROPYLSILSESQUIOXANE, DISTEARDIMONIUM HECTORITE, PROPYLENE CARBONATE, RED 7
LAKE (CI 15850), RED 28 (CI 45410), YELLOW 5 LAKE (CI 19140), YELLOW 6 LAKE (CI
15985).
Packaging:
Since this was a Limited Edition collaboration product
of the brand with @iluvsarahii, the outer carton wasn’t matte white like the
normal Coloupop packaging. It is rather an ivory packaging with golden webbish
designs on it. The product itself comes in transparent tube with doe foot
applicator like all Colourpop lip colors.

Shade:
Arriba is a beautiful
warm red without any neon tones. After MAC Ruby Woo, I have not seen
another true red which would look good on any complexion. Arriba looks like a
true warm red in natural light and a deeper intense red indoors or in shade.

Texture:
Unlike the shade Top8 which felt drying on my lips,
Arriba felt wonderfully lightweight and satiny on my lips. The lip color took
about ten seconds to dry to a complete matte and even after drying it didn’t
feel stretchy. However, after reading online review of other shades of
Colourpop liquid lip colors, I realized that the texture varies across shades. While
some shades felt non drying on some people, others have complained it being too
drying. The reviews on the official website of Colourpop for this shade are
also contradictory. Some people are praising the texture and others are giving
it brickbats. In my case, Arriba felt way better on lips than Top8.

Longevity
and Pigmentation:
True to the brand claims, the pigmentation is full
blown! Just one swipe is sufficient. Also, for removing it, I wiping it off
with coconut oil proved effective. Water splashes and water sips did not budge
the colour from my lips. But I did see some fading after an oily meal. Also,
there is some staining on lips after removal. For the first time I wore this,
the lipcolor stayed on my lips for 7 hours.

Overall, I really like this particular shade from
Colourpop. I am glad I got this before it became out of stock :D Which are your
