Focallure Everchanging Eyeshadow palette Review, Swatches |
I am back with another Focallure cosmetics product review which is a part of my mini Focallure haul. This time the product I am reviewing is the Focallure Everchanging Eyeshadow palette. While reviewing the Focallure Tropical Vacation palette in my previous post (Read HERE), I mentioned how Tropical Vacation contained neutral and berry shades. The Everchanging palette on the other hand contains “grungy mattes to bold metallics with an underground edge” as claimed by the cruelty-free brand Focallure. Although I am always more comfortable with neutral shades for my eyes, the bold gorgeousness of this palette made me pick it up! I also felt that the intense shade selection could mean good pigmentation. Read on to find out if this palette managed to impress me more than the Tropical Vacation palette or not.
Product
Name:
Focallure Everchanging
Eyeshadow palette
Price:
Rs. 500 for 71 OZ/14 gm

Ingredients:
Packaging:
The Everchanging
eyeshadow palette just like the Tropical Vacation one is made of lightweight
cardboard with magnetic lid. Such palettes are very convenient for travelling
rather than heavy plastic or metal palettes. Also, each Focallure palette
covering has interesting graphics printed on them. Everchanging palette’s cover
carton and the palette itself is black with teal blue graphics. There is a misprint at the back of the carton
(Maybe only in my piece) since the name is printed as Tropical Vacation instead
of Everchanging.
There is a dual-ended brush with a flat paddle brush on one
end and a blending fluffy brush on the other (Quite like Urban Decay
palettes). I absolutely love the quality of the brush. The bristles are neither
too sparse nor too dense which would restrict the swiveling of the bristles
while blending.
My
Experience:
Just like TropicalVacation contains shades similar to the ABH Modern Renaissance palette, the
Everchanging Palette contains shades which are similar to ABH Subculture
Palette.
There
are ten mattes in this palette: Salt, Warm, Fall, Leaves, Mystery, Honey, Walnut, The Palace, Bar
Stool and Mist
There
are three pearly shimmers: Glow, Laser and Sunset
Also, there
is one gorgeous duo-chrome shade:
Season
What
pleasantly surprised me was that, unlike the Tropical Vacation palette which
was a mix of intensely pigmented shades and averagely pigmented ones, ALL the
shades in Focallure Everchanging palette has intense pigmentation! The shade Mystery seemed a bit chalky to me and
I believe a primer underneath would lessen the fall-out
The pearly
shimmers and the duo-chrome shade require just a single swipe for showing
opaque hue and the mattes go no less!
Below are the
swatches with fingertips on my hand.
Also, check
below the swatches done with flat end side
of the brush.
Even without
primer, the shadows work so beautifully, however, I would strongly suggest a
primer underneath so that no unwanted transfer of color happens around the eye
contour and the longevity is not compromised.
Also, unlike
the Tropical Vacation Palette, the shades of this one left behind a tint when
washed with plain tap water.
Focallure Everchanging eyeshadow palette can
be used to create many experimental and dramatic eye makeup looks. Also,
neutral shades like Warm, Walnut, Fall, Mist and The Palace can be used for
everyday makeup as well.
Overall, I am
very much pleased with this multi-functional eyeshadow palette. This
budget-friendly palette can be the right choice for beginners as well as
makeup-enthusiasts who like to experiment a lot.
