Plum Grape Seed & Sea Buckthorn Glow Restore Face Oils Blend- Review
Plum Grape Seed & Sea Buckthorn Glow Restore Face Oils Blend |
If you have been
following me on Instagram, you must have seen a post two days back that I have
received a recent launch from the
brand Plum and have been testing the same. It is a blend of ten potent oils for
facial skin. I am a total skincare addict and my dry skin couldn’t have loved
anything more than facial oil! I had also mentioned how much me and my mom’s
skin loved the e-luminence serum fromthe same brand (Read full review HERE) and so I was quite positive about
the effects of this oil blend..

moisturizer (Sunscreen in morning, deep hydrating cream at night). One or two
drops under the eye will help rejuvenate dull skin.

Packaging: The glow-restore facial oil comes in a frosted glass
bottle with a dropper housed inside typical matte white carton packaging of
Plum. The bottle doesn’t feel heavy and I like how you can see how much oil is
left through the see-through bottle.

My take: I have been using this Grape Seed & Sea
Buckthorn Glow Restore Face Oils Blend since two weeks now and I can say that
is enough time for an honest review. Unlike what is mentioned in the pack (to
use directly after cleansing), I use this oil after cleansing and toning. Also,
I am using this only at bed time and alternating it with Plum e-Luminence serum on some days.
The oil is a very pale yellowish liquid which
appears clear when dropped on palm. The fragrance is a sweet-fruity one which
is not overpowering. I require two-three drops to cover my whole face and neck
(Also, when the face is moist just after cleansing and toning, the oil spreads
better and a lesser quantity is needed).

After few minutes: Plum Grape Seed & Sea Buckthorn Glow Restore Face Oils Blend |
The brand
mentions that this oil-blend is meant
for normal, dry and very dry skin. I will stick to that suggestion since
one thing which distinguishes it from any serum is that it is not “non-oily”. It is definitely a light-weight blend but
it requires a few minutes to massage it in and another good ten minutes to
“sink in” into the skin even on my dry skin. I do not use it on mornings
because of time factor (We generally do not have time to let a product sink-in our
skin). Before bedtime, it is a bliss to use the blend J Unlike what the brand advises (to use a hydrating
night cream after using the oil), I settle for a light moisturizer instead
because the oil blend is sufficiently hydrating. But I would stress the importance of a moisturizer/cream after this oil to "lock" the blend in. I had used it once without following it with a moisturizer and the effect was not as great as it was when I had used a moisturizer.
I have also made
my mom use this regularly at bedtime and once I have used this during a
home-facial massage that I gave her (before massaging in the cream and just
after scrubbing). What I noticed in both of ours skin is that the next morning there is a nourished look and
no dry patches. I wouldn’t claim an “extra bulb-lit glow” but the dry
patches are definitely dealt with and there is slight plumping of skin which
makes face look fresh and hydrated.
Another facial oil-serum
which I had loved was The Body ShopOvernight Vit-E Serum in Oil (Read review HERE) But somehow I never
repurchased it because of the price factor.
In a nutshell,
amidst all overly priced facial oils available in market, this little bottle is
quite a deal to treat your face with and is within our budget as well. Very
much pleased with Plum Grape Seed & Sea Buckthorn Glow Restore Face Oils
Blend!
Rate: 5/5 (A definite repurchase!)

Super detail as usual. SO my combination skin will be happy using it? what do you think?
ReplyDeleteYup! except for super oily skin, other skin types may use it :) I would suggest the toning of skin beforehand as I mentioned and then use the oil in lesser quantity with firm strokes :)
