Hey beauties! I am back with another eyebrow product. After the last post on the blog about the latest launch by Maybelline “Fashion Brow Pomade Crayon”, it is time for the next one in the range: Fashionbrow Cream pencil. While I had really liked the brow pomade crayon, I also mentioned that I would rather use it for special occasions since it involved some work with a flat brush. Also, I am wary of eyebrow pencils which offer stark results and that’s why an eyebrow pencil never made it to my kit. (I have always used THIS eyeshadow to fill my eyebrows). But when team Maybelline sent over this pencil to me I was intrigues because a “cream pencil” was a new thing for me. The first thing that came to my mind was “Won’t it be brittle?” Read on to find out if my fears came true!

Package: A basic wooden sharpen-able pencil with clear plastic cap. The shades Brown or Grey is indicated by the bottom end of the pencil which has a color patch of the same shade.

My take: Honestly, at first sight, the pencil tip looked too soft to serve as an eyebrow pencil. I thought it would break right away once I start “sketching” my sparse brows. Also, when I swatched the pencil on my wrist, the pigmentation seemed very inadequate and the texture felt smooth but slightly crumbly. The shade brown also looked a tad too warm.

But all my doubts vanished once I actually used it on my brows. The smooth and gliding texture of the pencil made perfect strokes and the brown seamlessly blended with my complexion and sparse brow hair :D Once set it doesn't budge and there is no transferring while sweating as well.

The tip did not crumble and I could draw the arch perfectly in an instant! There was no patchiness as well. This pencil will be my go to eyebrow product for daily use. I am also looking forward to try the Grey shade for evening outings since I prefer a more defined look once the sun sets :P

The pigments lasted on me for about 6 hours in AC environment of office post which it faded. So I am not sure of the 12 hour claim.
