Review/Swatches of Sivanna Colors Bronzed Professional #04 Natural
Review/Swatches of Sivanna Colors Bronzed Professional #04 Natural |
How many of you cringe at the sight of overly
contoured face? I do. Period. I am absolutely terrified of the idea of looking
like a colouring disk with various shades of browns on different points of my
face. That being said, I also yearn for a shapely face sometimes (Instead of
the extra-large round thing that I have). I had tried contouring once with the
highly acclaimed Sleek’s Contour Kit and ended up looking like I just dipped my
face in puddle (Read HERE).What I am
always looking out for is a contouring product which is ever so subtle that no
one can ask me if I got something on my face. Also, the idea of bronzers
intrigued me: “Sunkissed look” can be appealing to pale –skinned people outside
India. Here we are almost “burnt” down in summer sun, so why do people still
buy “bronzers” here? Are we bronzed enough? I found relief in this budget buy from
Sivanna (Read review of Sivanna Primer HERE) Read on to get answer of all these questions and more!
Product
name: Sivanna Colors Bronzed Professional
Price:
Rs.550 for 17gms (That’s HUGE! I had got mine on offer for Rs.350/-)
Available
at : Amazon.in
Shades
Available: 01 Dark, 02 Deep, 03 Deep Dark, 04 Natural
Here is a quick look at all the four pans. I got the
shade Natural because Dark and Deep seemed too pigmented for my NC37-40
skintone and Deep Dark seemed less pigmented. “Natural” was a natural choice ;)

Shelf
Life:
5 years from the date of manufacturing but 12 months once the pan is open and
used (strange?!)
Packaging:
The product comes in a huge pan which fits your palm and houses three shades in
each of them- One shade for contouring, one for bronzing and the last for
highlighting. This makes it a great 3-in-1 travel product. Also the lid secures
quite nicely and plastic seems sturdy. The outer box is a basic white carton
with pretty black detailing of a mirror and a girl.

My
take:
Since I do not like “on the face” extreme contouring, I was looking for
something very very subtle which would just give a slight shadow to my chubby
cheeks, double chin and blunt nose. After reading reviews, I picked up the
shade “Natural”. These are the shades available in this pan. The contouring powder
is the darkest, the bronzer is a beautiful warm brown and the highlighter is
also a warm and peachy one.

As opposed to what is written in Amazon reviews, the
shades are not completely matte. They do appear complete matte in the pan, but
once you swatch them, you will find an ever so slight tinge of shimmer in the
contouring powder even (So slight that you have to squint your eyes and see the
trace of shimmer). That is precisely
what makes this pan a winner. The contouring shade does not make your face
a flat muddy plate but adds that subtle glow while adding a chiseled effect.
The bronzer can double up as a warm peachy blush perfect for the day. The
highlighter looks chalky when swatched with fingertip, but is actually a
wonderful subtle highlighter which you can wear daily to work as well! Let’s
look at the swatches!

These are just single swatches and no multiple
swiping was required since they are immensely pigmented. They blend in
wonderfully on the face with brushes and on my face primed with foundation and
Sivanna primer (Read Review HERE), they stayed on for 5 hours without slightest
fading.

In the pic below, I have used the contouring shade
at the sides of my nose, on my cheeks and jawline. Then on the apple of my cheeks
I dabbed some of the bronzing shade and sparingly used the highlighter on the
bridge of the nose, below brow-bone and on chin. However, since I wanted a bit
of extra glow for this look, I have used May Lou Manizer highlighter on the
cheekbones (read review HERE).
