Hey ladies! Apologies for being really irregular
here. I have become utterly lazy when it
come to doing anything other than reading a good book (Yes, the bookworm in me
has risen again ). But today I felt like I cannot ignore Elegant Eves any
longer and here I am! This review will be on a budget find again :D In my quest
for perfect everyday wear lipstick, I spotted this on Nykaa. Read on to find if
this is an MLBB shade or a nude shade
or neither of both :P

are about six shades in this range but Nykaa stocks only Sable probably because
this is the only shade among the six which can suit Indian skin tones)

Packaging:
These chubby sticks come in a twist-up
packaging which avoids any wastage of product. The cap is a clear plastic
one. One thing which irks me is that the product does not retract completely
when twisted down. The tip of the lip crayon remains outside and that may cause
it to chip off or have a nick when you are in a hurry to close the cap. Also,
although the cap clicks lock nicely, but it is not very secure. It might come
off when kept in purse and there is a lot of movement.

Take: If you read my review on my favourite daily wear
lipstick from Maybelline (Read HERE),
you will know how much I love warm dusty pinks for regular wear. Also, for
regular wear purpose, I prefer creamy or semi matte formulas instead of retro
matte ones (Read difference between MLBB lipstick and a Nude lipstick HERE).

NYX Sable is yet another creamy lipstick which settles into a comfortable semi-matte finish
few minutes after application. The shade
is a perfect warm brown with pink tones which will suit fair to medium and
medium-deep complexions, both in cool and warm undertones. For deeper
skinned beauties NYX does not have a proper shade L
“Sable” although looks very deep and wearable in reviews across internet, I
will suggest deeper skinned beauties stay away from this as this will
definitely wash you out.

This
shade is perfect for the days when you just want to dab some lipstick to cancel
out uneven pigmentation of your lips without having any noticeable colour on
them and also are feeling too lazy for a full face makeup!
I say this because if you have taken the effort of doing a full face makeup,
then it is better to go for similar shades in other brands which have better
staying power.
Although this crayon has BEAUTIFUL pigmentation and opaque coverage, it stays for only about
3 hours if you do not eat something in between. It transfers as well. After
three hours it fades but thankfully a nice and even tint is left behind. I can
see this shade as my “In my purse” kind of shade which I can use for touch-ups
in office when I just need a polished look to my face. The texture is very light and super comfortable!

On my face, I have intentionally skipped any base
makeup and only my eyes are smudged with kajal, my brows done with a brown
eyeshadow and my lips have NYX Sable. On lips, it looks lighter than what it does on wrists. Like it?

Recommendation: Not a must-have but a
very nice shade to include in your kitty if you want comfortably-wearing a lip
colour for those no-makeup look days
