Hi everyone! Continuing with the “Festive Fever”
products of L’oreal (Read about them HERE), today I am up with a post on my favourite
picks from L’oreal moistmatte range of lipsticks. Five bright coloured lipsticks
which I feel would suit every Indian skin tone beautifully! Although I have a
soft corner for nude and “my lips but better” shades in lipsticks because they
give a very polished look, we cannot deny that festive season (and weddings!)
is incomplete without a pop of colour, isn’t it? So read to find out my favourite
picks in bright lipsticks from L’oreal
Before I start, let me make a confession, in the
pictures used here you will see that all the lipsticks are not in a very “newish”
condition. The images may seem unappealing but the worn out tips itself is a
proof of how much I have used them J So, these are
the shades which I picked!

1. Blaze of Red :
This was the shade I received In the Festive Fever Range (read about Festive
Fever Les Ombres Eyeshadow Quad Precious Purple HERE). This is a deep brick
toned red, perfect for those who are hesitant about sporting a bright red lip.
I did not own such a red in my kit and I am very glad they decided to send me
this shade J
This red is best worn in evenings and by women who are above 22 atleast. Teens
and early 20s girls, this particular shade will add some years to your face.
For women of 23-24 and above, this red is the ultimate sophisticated “Lady red”
:D Every Indian complexion will rock this shade
2. Lincoln Rose:
This is the super bright red we all are fond of! With slight pink undertones
but still very warm, this is also a very wearable shade of red which instantly

3. Glamor Fuchsia:
After two reds, it is time for an unusual shade. For those of you who need a
break from reds, but still want a statement lip colour, Glamor Fuchsia is your
shade. Unlike other fuchsias available in the market which lean more towards
magenta, this is a blue-based fuchsia which will make your teeth look whiter :D
This is looking a tad too blue in the swatches just beside the reds, but it is
actually a fine blend of pink and blue (Check the actual shade in this post HERE). I love how this shade complements almost every skin tone (Tried and
tested)
4. Pure Vermeil:
This shade is a cousin of Lincoln Rose and looks almost similar when swatched
on wrists. However, Pure Vermeil is a bright reddish peach while Lincoln Rose
has more red than peach. So if Lincoln Rose’s “peach:red ratio” is “1:3” then
Pure Vermeil’s Peach”red ratio is 3:1;) This is the only shade which I feel
would suit fair to medium deep complexions and might look a bit stark on very
deep complexions.
5. Pure Amaranthe:Finally my favourite
shade which I wore in my wedding reception party and have been hooked onto
since then! It is a B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L hot pink leaning towards fuchsia. It
matched with my pink banarasi saree perfectly. Have a look!

In
a nutshell: Moistmatte range of lipsticks from L’oreal
are your best buys if you want a “comfortable” matte lip colour which does not
dry your lips but still stays a sophisticated matte for long hours. For the
bright colour first timers, go for semi matte or moist matte textured lipsticks
like this instead of glossy or creamy shades (Bright colors+shiny finish=
disaster). Priced at 950/- INR for 4.2 gms, you would not be disappointed with
this investment. Year rounds discounts at Nykaa and Amazon also sells these at
650-750/- INR :D Keep your eyes open.
