Hey Ladies! Today’s review will be on a recent find. Most of you know that as much as I am awed by pretty looking nail arts by talented bloggers around the globe, when it comes to myself, my most preferred “nail makeover” means a French manicure or just a wash of nude nail paint on my tips and toes. For me, a good opaque colour applied nicely screams sophistication. You may read here how I went gaga over the Miss Claire French Manicure kit (Read HERE). Sally Hansen is a world renowned name when it comes to nail styling and care but somehow till date I hadn’t purchased a single one of their products. Recently I came across this lovely nude shade on Nykaa and couldn’t resist picking it up! Read on to find if this nail paint was worth the price:

My Take: The product comes in a transparent glass bottle with a black applicator cap much like many other nail paints, the only difference being the size. This is actually a big bottle :P The brush head is quite narrow and even when spread, it does not stretch to too much width. Personally I love such smaller brush heads because they help in applying the product neatly to even narrow nails without spilling to the sides. The wand though is quite long, and one thing you HAVE to remember is to tap the cap to remove excess polish on the wand (not the brush, the wand, yes!). Because of the length of the wand, a lot of product gets coated onto it when you shake the bottle prior application. If you do not tap the wand you will see nail paint dripping down to your fingers from the cap while you are applying the nail paint.

Coming to the shade, "Bare It All" is beautiful beige with slight warm pink undertones. This shade will serve as a nude nail shade for fair to medium skintones. Deeper skin tones can use this as a light shade for nail art. Although it is quite opaque, you would need two quotes to get a clean, solid nude nail color :)
Texture wise, it is pretty runny. I prefer my nail paints to be runny rather than thick or goopy. Now coming to the tricky part: Just like nude lip colors need much prep before application (Read MAC Kinda Sexy review HERE), nude nail paints like this also require much prep. The most important being buffing your nail bed before applying this. If you have streaky nail bed (with fine ridges), you would have to buff your nails with a buffer (4 sided ones with emery board on one side and 3 different textured sides as well which cleans and shines the nails). Failing to do that would make this shade look horrible :(
Finally, time for some swatches! For testing  the “xtreme wear” claim of the nail polish, I had applied this on last Monday (6 days back) and these swatches are clicked this morning :D Yes Sir! SIX Days old manicure is what you see in these pictures. In all these days I have done all sorts of household chores: washing utensils, washing and wringing clothes, dusting, polishing etc which all of you do! And to my amazement, apart from the slight chipping at the tip of the index finger, the rest of the nails are quite alright! Yay!!! I saw no point in clicking pictures right after application and posting because that would not serve the purpose, right? If I am paying 3 times the price of average nail paint for something “long wear”, the pictures should show that too ;)
