Hey lovelies! Today’s post
is a long pending one. I finally sat
down to jot my two cents on the only three eyeshadows I had picked for my
wedding during my wedding makeup haul. And surprise SURPRISE! I forgot to take
them out of my kit during the day owing to my nervy condition on my wedding
(Stress!). I allowed the makeup artist
to use whatever she had brought with herself except for the lips (read What to ask your bridal makeup artist before your wedding). She had some
different red lipstick with her and I didn’t want anything else on my lips
other than Ruby Woo :P (See my wedding makeup HERE). Coming back to point, I had picked up
only three shades which I wanted on my eyes during the wedding instead of going
gaga and buying the entire makeup world just because it was my wedding. I was a
budget bride and quite a proud one at that ;) Read on to find out why I had
chosen these shades and why I am silently crying to have “forgotten” about
them!
Product
shades: I had picked up refills from Inglot instead of buying
palettes because I specifically wanted a gold, a reddish pink and a matte brown
shade. I came back with the shades 50 (From AMC range), 404 (From Pearl range) and 329
(from the Matte range).

Packaging: Since
Inglot refill eyeshadows are meant to be used for customising your own palette,
they come in flat square tin pans. These can easily fit into any empty
magnetized palette (You can buy the palettes at Inglot stores) They are covered
in a plastic case like this and you need to peel off the plastic layer at the
back to take out the pan. The outer cover is black carton with all the details
of the eyeshadow mentioned. They also have a tiny leaflet with ingredient list
inside the carton.

Ingredients: Please
check the leaflets images. I have the ones for AMC 50 and the Pearl 404 one. I
have misplaced the one for the matte 329 but I guess it would be similar

My
take:
Let me give you all a brief description of all three shades:

Pearl 404
is a bronze-gold much like the Bronzy “zari” you would find in any ethnic Indian wear. It is not a bold
gold which makes you look gaudy but a perfect intense bronze-gold which would
suit every complexion and would complement almost every ethnic outfit. It would
serve as an overall lid color

AMC 50 is
a reddish-pink shade with tiny golden speckles. It is a
gorgeous bridal option and although I do not like red or pink shade all over my
lids, a bit of this blended around the outer corner of the upper eye lid would
look gorgeous. The shimmer particles are not gritty and very subtle on lids.
The reddish-pink shade is very pigmented though!

Matte 329
is a cool toned dark brown which almost looks black when layered. It is
completely matte with no shimmer. It would be great to intensify any
golden-bronzy eye makeup look if applied at the outer corners (Explains why I bought this shade with
the other two). It would also be a perfect eye-brow powder shade for
medium-fair and medium-dark complexions. Also, setting kajal in waterline with
this shade would instantly give you an intense look.

The texture is satin smooth for all three and
they blend like a dream without being patchy. They also stay on the lids without primer for about 6-7 hours beyond which there is slight fading. Oily lids might have to use primer to extend the eye shadow staying power
