Hey beauties, it’s been a really long gap sine I posted last-
blame it on the hectic workload at office -_- But now that I am back, I have
literally a TRUCKLOAD of products to review (Yikes!!!) Just kidding! J The only work which doesn't scare me is blogging J
We have seen so many videos and tutorials online where people
have used contouring kits to make their otherwise round face appear chiseled
and their features sharper. For laymen, a contouring powder is
essentially a pigment darker than your skin tone used on areas of your face
like below cheekbones, on temples, around jawline etc. to give you the illusion
of a slimmer face. I happen to have the roundest face of all :D And no
matter how much I lose weight, the face shape remains constant :P Although I
have no issue with my watermelon sized face otherwise, but there are definitely
times I wish I could have a slimmer face :-/ There are also millions of
products available which help you to create the “perfect face shape”- However,
I got to try this one when my friend Tapaswini sent me this beauty. So ladies,

Packaging: This
range of contour kit from Sleek comes in three shades- Light, Medium and Dark. The palette is very handy and fits the palm
of the hand. It contains a huge mirror inside which is of quite good quality.
The palette itself is of matte black plastic with glossy lettering of the
brand’s name- me loves! It also click shuts quite firmly and will be travel
friendly too. The outer covering is normal black carton.

My
experience: This range comes with a matte contouring powder and a
complementing highlighter shade. Essentially, you contour and “hide” the
areas you don’t want others to see and “brighten” or highlight the areas you
want them to see! ;) I should have gone for the shade Medium- reason
you will know soon L The kit
also comes with an instruction manual with pictures on how to use both the
pigments and I found it pretty awesome- it will be good for beginners to
understand the basics of contouring and highlighting.

Now coming to this particular kit, the matte brown shade
provided in this kit is apt for wheatish to dark skin (MAC NC42 and above). It
is a superbly pigmented smooooooooth brown pigment which is not at all chalky!
:D But unfortunately, as I stated earlier, it is way too dark for me and no amount of light-handed
usage is working for me L The
highlighter is a beautiful bronzy-gold which is again intensely pigmented and
smooth. There is absolutely no grits or chunks of glitter. But again, this
looks orangey on my skin (MAC NC-35-37) But this tad of disappointment doesn’t
make this kit any less valuable :D I intend to use the brown shade as eyebrow
powder and eye shadow (we all know how multitasking is a matte brown shade!)
and the highlighter will be my everlasting stock of gold eyeshadow.

Just have a
look at the pigmentation!!! This is just a light swatch from the pan. I would
definitely get the Medium shade kit soon because this is one kit which is NOT
to be missed ladies!

Just get your shade selection right and this will be a savior J Now be prepared for a nightmare :P I tried contouring with this kit and ended up looking
three shades darker than what I am L (Again I
repeat, it is ONLY due to wrong shade selection on my part) Excuse how
horrendous I look here!
