Hey ladies! I am bubbling with excitement as I am
writing this post! Why shouldn’t I be? We are bringing you the brand new launch
by L’oreal Paris. Yes, the “Gold Obsession” collection which very few of you
might have come across in Nykaa. Well, before you make this purchase, here you
have the pictures, swatches and everything else of the WHOLE collection! :D

If you had gone through the previous first
impression posts by L’oreal collections (like Youcannes HERE and HERE) you will know that I have always been
impressed by their quality. When this box came in, I was almost dancing with
joy since it is actually a “Box of glam”: Seven STUNNING looking lipsticks, two
beautiful nail paint shades and a promising looking eyeshadow palette. Have a
look at the pictures before I blabber more:

| First Impression/Swatches: Entire L’oreal Gold Obsession Collection |
The following is a quick description of the shades
of lipsticks along with swatches. I must admit, I was apprehensive that these
would turn out to be shimmery lipsticks which I hate, but oh boy! These are
super creamy ones with a slight sheen post application. There are no obvious
gritty shimmer :D
1.
Rouge
Gold: A warm tomato red.
2.
Coral
Gold: A true peachy coral with amazing opacity.
3.
Mocha
Gold: A rich burgundy brown. Perfect for winters
4.
Le
Gold: Complete gold with medium to good opacity. Can be used over other lip
colors to make it wearable.
5.
Plum
Gold: A pretty Purple. Very wearable
6.
Rose
Gold: A girly Barbie pink. Perfect day wear!
7.
Scarlet
Red: A cool toned cherry red.

Apart from Coral Gold and Rose Gold, all other
shades would suit across various complexions. Mentioned two would suit fair to
medium skin tones.
I have swatched the eyeshadow palette for you all on
my tanned arm because the other side was full of lipstick swatches L

The palette has ten smooth satiny shades ranging from champagnes
to warmer golds, gunpowder shade, purples, light blues, a jade green and a
gorgeous black speckled with gold (my favourite!) The gunpowder shade, the jade green, the yellow gold and the black-with
gold specks have the best pigmentation and the others have to be swatched twice.
So I guess using a primer will be wise.

The two nail
paints are Coral Trianon and Violet Vendome. These are solid opaque colors without
any shimmer. Both very pretty and wearable
