Review/Swatches/FOTD of Inveda 8-in-1 BB cream #Fair Color |
Hello
ladies! I had recently been looking for a BB cream which gives me similar
results as the MAC Face and Body foundation
(Read review HERE) since I absolutely LOVE
the dewy and natural look that baby gives :D I have been using the foundation like
crazy, almost everyday and it is almost half used up L
Which brings me to the horror realisation that I would need to repurchase
another one at the “renewed” MAC prices -_- I hate MAC for its quarterly price
hike! The foundation already costs a whooping Rs.2400/- for 50 ml and god knows
how much price hike would it have now. So I decided that I need to save my
favourite foundation for special occasions and buy a cheaper alternative for
the daily uses L After going through many options, I
settled on this J Read on to find how it fared:
Product: Inveda 8-in-1 BB cream.
Shades available:
Fair Color (For Fair to medium skin tones), Matte Color (for wheatish skin
tones). I bought the shade Fair since it looked more yellow.
Price: Rs. 150 for 15 ml

Packaging:
It is a pretty basic squeeze-tube which smaller than your palm. In hues of
orange, brown and gold, the packaging looks quite ‘earthy’.

My take:
The shade “Fair Color” is warm and bright beige. Surprisingly though when
swatched alongside MAC face and Body foundation in shade C3, which is true yellow beige, this one appears to be
a creamy beige with slight salmon tints. I was super scared looking at the
color thinking it would wash me out. But as soon as I blended it, I found it matched
skin beautifully without leaving it ashy. So I think, this shade would suit anyone between MAC NC 30-40 or Fair to medium
skin tones.

Swatches of Inveda 8-in-1 BB cream #Fair Color and comparison with MAC |
Texture and pigmentation:
As you all know, I was looking for an “easy to use” BB cream which does not
need much effort while application and yet offers a natural coverage. This BB
cream wins on the texture part. It does look thick, but actually has a very light soufflé kind of consistency.
It blends in perfectly on face without much blending and does not have a “on
your face” kind of feeling :D It truly
gives a soft matte look (with a bit of glow)

Coming
to pigmentation and coverage, on application you would instantly feel a moisturized
glowy look and the lightest blemishes covered ever so slightly and you can also
layer the product up. But the pigmentation is not as much as the MAC Face and
Body foundation. For faces with deeper
dark circles, scar marks and spots, this would do nothing. You would have to
use correctors and concealers as well. For me, my skin is pretty much problem
free and I don’t mind going out without concealers, so Inveda BB cream fits my
bill.
One
thing which bothered me though was the fact that you can actually see your BB
cream WASH away like a white liquid with the slightest splash of water, which
confirms that this will not endure heavy summers with a lot of sweating. For
Bangalore weather though, it is quite ok J
In
the picture below, the “before” face is my “just out of shower” face and the
after, as obvious, has the Inveda BB cream in fair. There is no other product (not
even powder) so that it helps you gals see the slight glowy effect on cheeks. I
love how it moisturizes by skin and does not make it patchy.

Other things which make me fond of
this BB cream are:
1.
Contains
SPF20
2.
Paraben
Free
3.
Not
tested on animals
4.
100%
veg
In this picture,
the only base makeup used is Inveda BB cream. There is no powder, no blush, no
concealers, no contour and no highlight. Just Miss Claire lip cream (Read Review HERE) and some eyeshadow and liner J
The glowy yet matte effect stayed on me for 5 hours beyond which I washed it
off. I believe, this texture would suit all skin types and would last longer if
powdered too.
