Hey
friends! While I am trying and testing the brand new launches of L’oreal Paris
Infallible Makeup range made especially for the 2016 Cannes film festival, I
told you how much I loved the Never Fail Lip Liner in shade Mauve (Read review here).
I was also very pleased with the choice of products sent by the L’oreal team to
me for review and consideration. One of the other product that I was
particularly excited about is the Silkissime Eyeliner in shade Pure Purple. I
am always biased towards deep purples and dark greens if I ever want to venture
out of my blacks and browns for eyes :P Read on to know more about this eye
pencil.

How to use: Apply along
the top and bottom lash line beginning in the inner corner of the eye and
working outward. To sharpen, use L’Oréal’s Dual Sharpener and turn the pencil
gently to create a working tip.

Packaging: The
Silkissime eyeliner is a pencil liner which needs to be sharpened. It comes
with a plastic cap and is encased in a basic paper packaging like this. It
would require a sharpener because it’s not provided in the pack.

My take: L’oreal Paris Infallible Silkissime eyeliner
in shade Pure purple is one of the smoothest pencil I have used so far! It glides on like butter literally and I
was amazed at the intense pigmentation it
gives at single swipe. But a downside of this buttery texture is it would
require sharpening pretty often which in turn would lead to product wastage.
Personally, I don’t like creating sharp lines with colored liners, and so a
blunt tip works for me!

The
shade Pure
Purple, true to its name, is a rich and bright purple! This shade
can be easily rocked by anyone. On Indian skin tone, I would suggest using this
with a combination of kohl or brown eye pencil so that it becomes more wearable.
Now
talking about staying power, when I swatched this “S” on my hand for you guys
to check, it seemed so buttery smooth that I felt it would smudge like crazy.
But wonders of wonders! Within seconds
it sets itself and no amount of rubbing could budge it (And it was only a
single swipe). So I would really suggest you have a good makeup remover /oil
close at hand when you want to take off this liner at the end of the day. On me, it stayed for over 8 hours without smudging even a bit :D

I
am so amazed by this formula that
now I am eyeing the shades Black, Charcoal, Plum and Gold from the range. Given
its silky formula, I believe these would serve as great eyeshadow bases as
well! It also didn’t irritate my waterline (I wear contact lenses) and didn’t
feel sticky or heavy like most “buttery” formula pencils.
