Hey
beauties! I am sure you must have seen how happy I was to receive the newly
launched L’oreal Paris Infallible makeup range especially created for the
Cannes Film Festival 2016. If you haven’t read my first impressions post on
this range, read HERE. I wanted to begin the review saga with one of my favourite
from the products I received. It is a lovely daily wear lip liner and was a
love at first sight for me. Without further ado, let’s see how this beauty
fared for me!

Packaging: It is a twist-up/ retractable pencil
and the body color of the pencil is the same as the shade offered. This for me
is a plus point because when you have more than one pencil in your vanity (Ask
a beauty blogger!), the shade coloured pencil body actually helps to spot it
faster!

My take: As I mentioned, it was love at first
sight for me because I have a soft corner for muted pinks and neutrals in lip
colour (Even though RED is my favourite!). L’oreal Paris Infallible Never Fail
Lipliner #507 Mauve is a beautiful muted pink with
neutral undertones. It is a tad too pink to be called a “Nude” shade,
but nude lipsticks when topped over this can make you avoid that “flat, no-life”
kind of look that those lippies tend to give most of the times. It would look
great on its own too- just fill up entire lips with it and top it with a dab of
your favourite lip balm. For me, this will become my to-go office makeup’s lip
pencil :D The shade is a face brightening shade and would
suit fair, medium and medium-dark complexions beautifully. For really
deep skinned beauties, I suggest you try this out at the store before buying.

Texture wise, my favourite has been the Lakme
9-5 lip liners for their amazing butter texture! (Read reviews here) I though no one could beat this texture until I tried
this new baby. You have to use it to believe what a smooth application this
gives! No pulling, no tugging, intense pigmentation
at single swipe! And best part is, even when you fill up entire lips
with it there is no “heavy, dry cakey” feeling.
Although I would always advise exfoliate and moisturize your lips before you
fill up lips with any lip liner unless you want those dreaded lines on lips :P

Staying power is awesome too. I have put on
this liner about three hours back and I had quite a few helpings of snacks in
between and it is still there intact. No fading. Frequent
sips of water also didn’t make it budge. I guess a full (lip smacking)
heavy meal might fade it a bit. But am almost sure you would need a makeup
remover (or any oil like coconut) to remove this lip liner.
Overall, am super impressed with this liner! I
am eyeing the “Nude” shade from this range now :D
