Review of PAC Beauty Blender
Review of PAC Beauty Blender |
Hey all... Today’s review will be on a REALLY interesting
product which I am sure, will keep you glued till the end of the post. We all
know about THE Beauty Blender which is quite a celebrity in the beauty blogosphere.
If you don’t know, it is one miraculous sponge which blends in your foundation
or concealer like a dream in a jiffy and avoids that much feared “cakey” look.
But that little sponge costs a bomb at $20 which is basically 1600-1800 INR
approx. This is why it was on my eternal wishlist. Much to my amazement I came
across this brand called “PAC” (Professional Artists Cosmetics) In Amazon (dot)
in which stocked a plethora of brushes which looked exactly like the much raved
about and high-end (of course) MAC brushes! There was also this little beauty
in their range and I promptly placed an order as it fitted my budget perfectly!
Read on to know more:
About the
Company: Professional Artists Cosmetics (PAC) is a Korean brand and its
products are made in PRC (People’s Republic of China). Although I was unaware
of this brand until recently, PAC seems to be the choice of many professional
artists around India

Product name: PAC Beauty Blender
Price:
Rs. 485/-

Packaging: It
comes packed in a white and black stiff cardboard box which I
quite liked. No matter how much I tried to “squeeze” the box to see if it
disfigures, it didn’t budge. That definitely makes the box travel-friendly. The
sponge is nestled like an egg inside. Take a look!

My take: The
first thought which came to my mind when I held it in my hands was “Goodness!
This is softer than any other sponge I have touched so far”. The sponge looks
like a pink egg (exactly like the original beauty blender) with a wider rounder
bottom and a tapered end. The texture of the surface is “silky soft”.
It is very squishy and once you release your grip, it springs back to its original
shape.

The procedure of using a beauty blender is you immerse it in
water, let it expand in size, squeeze out the excess water properly and then
use it to buff your base makeup on your face and neck.
When I tried immersing the sponge in water, initially it just
floated on. Slowly, the beauty blender
started increasing in size. I took it out after ten seconds and this is the
difference in size:

I immersed it again as I felt it should increase more in size,
and this time it did become bigger. Here is a picture for comparison.

Now it was time to test this little guy! ;) I dabbed some full
coverage foundation on my hand (these are the ones MOST difficult to give a
natural look with because of the greyish cast they leave behind).
I went ahead and “blended” it with my fingers. As expected, I
got a whitish and cakey look immediately. After that I used the now ready
beauty blender to buff the foundation more. And here is a comparison pic for
you all to decide on the effects J Notice
the greyish cast on the first pic and the natural finish on the other.

I also used the same foundation with this blender on my hands
to cover green veins and check how natural yet fully covered it looks now J

Needless to say, I am blown over by the effectiveness of this
beauty blender from PAC. As I am writing this post, the damp blender has dried
up and returned to its original shape already and ready to fit into the box.

Rating: 5/5 (There is no minus mark for this amazing sponge!)
Recommendation: Ladies, we do not term every other
product as “must-have” unless we really mean it. Trust us, this beauty blender
from PAC is really a “must have”!! Go get it and up your makeup game
With Lots of love,
