Hiya Ladies! If you have been following us on Instagram and
Twitter (Id: ELEGANTEVES), you will know that I had been to the Gillette Venus
Razor Subscribe to Smooth Challenge Event which was held in the Oberoi hotel at
M.G road of Bangalore on the 15th of this month. I was particularly
excited to attend this event because I am personally a regular user of the
Gillette Venus Razor and can vouch for its quality. And when I heard that the event
will also be attended by expert Dermatologist Dr. Reshmi Shetty, whose videos
on skincare and general derma health I regularly follow, I couldn’t contain
myself! Read on to find how many myths about shaving were busted in the event.
The event was attended by many of fellow bloggers and
journalists and the celebrity guest included the very pretty South Indian
actress, Radhika Pandit. During the talk, she shared her experience about how
convenient shaving is in her hectic schedule and that she swears by it.

An introduction to the Gillette Venus razor was also given and

Dr. Reshmi Shetty busted all these myths saying a proper razor
will never cause all these issues:
1. The re-grown hair will not turn
thicker after shaving. It only feels so because a hair shaft will be thicker in
the middle and fine and tapered at the end. A full shaft will always feel
softer because of this while a shaft “shaved off” from middle will have the
thicker portion make you feel that it’s rough.
2. Hair growth or color depends on
your DNA and hormonal activity in your body. Any method of hair removal will not
alter that.
3. Skin darkening only occurs when
the skin is wounded. If we use a gentle razor to lightly shave off the body
hair instead of scraping the skin off, skin color will not alter. For this,
Gillette Venus seems perfect because it contains aloe-vera and Vitamin E strip
with the blades.
Many more of such myths related to shaving were busted and the

Oh yes, since it was a work day, I had to go from office.
There was little time to dress up and it was a hot day. I chose this floral
print chiffon midi dress and tan pumps. A simple winged eye liner, a dab off my
favourite compact and a mix of MAC Mocha and Loreal Paris Pure Amaranthe
lipstick dolled me up :P
