Hello all, after a long wait I am back again
with my favourite part (read DIY). I am up today with orange peel and its
benefits in skin care. As we all know orange peel is very beneficial to our
skin as if it is the best all-rounder of our skin. Not only Vitamin-C, it is
rich in several other skin caring materials. Let us take a quick look which
natural ingredients are there in the peel and how it has become one of the best
skin care remedy.
ORANGE
PEEL AND ITS NUTRITIONAL VALUE:
v VITAMIN-C:
Fights acne and helps in getting healthy skin
v CALCIUM:
Renews dead skin.
v POTASSIUM:
Moisturizes and hydrates skin.
v MAGNESIUM: For glowing skin which is youthful.

SKIN CARE BENEFITS:
« Anti-toxic
property: Orange peel contacting anti-oxidants flushes out all kinds of
toxins from the face when used as face mask improves the skin tone and removes
the wrinkles from the face and thus prevents premature aging.
« Great
scrubbing agent: The dried peel granules are uneven in nature and
using them as a scrub will be of great benefit for removing dirt, oil from the
skin as well as exfoliation of flaky dead skin and make the face squeaky clean.
« Anti-aging
property: The citric acid and Vit-C present in the orange increase the
amount of the collagen s in the body which ultimately react as an anti-aging
factor.
« De-pigmentation
agent: Orange peel face packs are removers of acne-marks,
dark-circles and zits.
« They are
natural astringents.

ORANGE
PEEL PREPARATION:
·
First of all remove the peels from the oranges
·
Keep the peels under sunlight for 2-3 days until
they become completely dried.
·
Grind them in the blender.
·
Store them in a jar and use them as required.
Peels can be used directly too.

HOME MADE ORANGE PEEL FACE MASK:
ORANGE
PEEL AND YOGHURT FACE MASK:

§ Take
2 spoons of yoghurt
§ Add freshly
removed peels
§ Blend
them together in the blender to make a fine paste.
§ Apply it
on wet face, keep it for 15 mins and wash it with warm water.
§ Apply it
on wet face, keep it for 15-20 mins and
rinse with lukewarm water.
This is
helpful in removing dead cells that remain clogged on our face.

PEEL AND TURMERIC FACE PACK:

Ø Take
orange peel, turmeric powder and honey.
Ø Blend
them thoroughly to make a fine mixture.
Ø Apply it
on wet face, keep it for 15-20 mins and
rinse with lukewarm water.
Helpful in removing acne-marks, zit marks from face and
brightens the skin complexion.
ORANGE
PEEL AND SANDALWOOD FACE SCRUB:

ü Take the
dried orange peel granules and equal amount of sandalwood powder.
ü Mix them
thoroughly with rose water.
ü Apply it
on wet face and and neck.
ü Scrub the
skin well and wash it.
The skin
would become glowing and supple.

PEEL AND HONEY:

Orange peel granules and honey can be mixed to
prepare even paste.
·
This is a scrubbing face mask which also
exfoliates skin.
·
Apply it on wet face and keep for 15 mins and then
wash it with lukewarm water.
Regular
usage helps to get radiant and glowing skin.

ORANGE PEEL AND LEMON FACE PACK:
Squeeze some drops of lemon juice in a paste of fresh orange peels and use it as a deep cleansing and detanning exfoliator-mask
