Review of MAC Studio Face and Body Foundation in C3
MAC Studio Face and Body Foundation in C3 |
Hey
beauties!!! I am really excited about doing this review because this product is
one of the favorites among makeup artists around the world and they swear by
it! It is the MAC Face and Body
Foundation which had already entered my kit a year back and unfortunately
in the wrong shade (Bought it from a blog sale. NEVER do that. Test it on your
skin at the store and then decide on your perfect shade) Because of getting C4
which proved to be a shade darker on me,I could never really use up that bottle
(Read review here), but I adored the unique non-cakey and super natural finish
of this foundation. So finally, I got one in a shade matching my skin tone
perfectly because my D-Day is coming soon (Read
Bridal Banter HERE) :D Read on to see how why I am going GAGA over this little bottle.
Product Name: MAC
Studio Face and Body Foundation in shade C3
Price: Rs.2400
for 50 ml (Super Duper OUCH :-/)
Shelf Life: 3

Packaging: It comes in the
regular black typical “MAC” packaging. A black carton and the foundation in a plastic nozzle-tipped squeezy bottle.
Not much of a looker, but I like this kind of light plastic bottles for ease of
travelling (Glass bottles weigh huge!). A slight squeeze and you get a dollop
of the foundation on your hands. You have to be careful about spilling extra
amount because the product is super-runny!

My take: By now all of you must have understood my hatred of cake-y heavy foundations. I would always
take glow-y skin with a bit of imperfections rather than a plastered “perfect”
face. Unfortunately most full-coverage foundations offer that heavy “in your
face”kind of effect. With MAC Studio Face and Body Foundation, it is just the
opposite!
The
texture of this foundation is so
unique that I fell in love with it! It is watery and runny, almost like milk.
It is loaded with pigments but offer
light coverage with the first layer. It is 100% buildable and even if you
want more coverage and decide to layer it again and again, it won’t look cake-y at all (Just remember to let every layer dry up
before you add the next layer)

For
me, its one layer and a light dusting of compact powder and I am sorted! :D My
dry-normal skin SOAKS up the foundation and actually glows after application. I
personally love such glowy-dewey finish
and that’s why I avoid powdering entire face. I powder only the T-zone and the
chin.
The
foundation does not transfer after setting
and stays on for 9-10 hours on me! :D Now that is what I call super-long
staying.

It does not
contain SPF and that makes it PERFECT for photography.
Coming
to the shade, C3 would suit anyone who
is fair-medium or is NC-35-37 in MAC studiofix foundation chart. It is a light beige with yellow undertones. I
had used C4 before and that made me look darker. This one looks like second
skin on me J

And
finally, here are the pics of me wearing this “exilir” :D No Here I am wearing MAC Face and Body Foundation in Shade C3, VOV eyebrow powder, Rimmel Ultra Glam Lash Flirt Mascara, Rimmel Apocalyps Lip Lacquer in Shade Celestial and Rimmel Vinyl Lip Gloss in shade Snog (Click on the products’ names to read individual reviews). My face has ONLY MAC Face and Body Foundation, no blush, no
powder and no concealers.

Recommendation: MAC Studio Face and Body Foundation is a
beautiful light-weight foundation which gives a glowy and luminous effect to
skin. It is buildable and offers fanstastic results in flash photograohy too.
Go for it if you are looking for a natural finish foundation which looks great
in photos.
