Hello beauties, it’s been a very long time since I posted any tutorial. I blame it all on my laziness L But recently, I had posted a “smokey eyes nude lips” picture of myself on Facebook and many of you requested for a tutorial. And that’s exactly what we are going to do today. Without further ado, let’s begin the tutorial!

Products needed for the look:
·        Eye-shadows: Matte black, matte brown, matte plumy-brown, champagne gold.
·        Black kajal or kohl
·        Mascara
·        Brushes: An angled brush, a fluffy brush, a smudger and flat brush. If you do not own brushes then simple Q-tips will do J I have used my latest buy Zoeva Rose Gold brush dupe from aliexpress.
·        Base makeup and lipstick of your choice.

Step by step procedure:
1.     Start with a clean and moisturized eye contour like this. Here I have prepped the upper lid with LA Pro concealers to serve a eyeshadow base. If you do not own an eyeshadow base, please apply a tiny dot of your foundation. That should do as well.

2.     With an angled brush like this fill in your eyebrows with a dark brown matte eyeshadow. If you are of paler complexion and your brows are light brown then opt for a matching matte brown eyeshadow. I have used Inglot Matte eyeshadow (read review here)

3.     Use a pale gold eyeshadow to highlight your browbone like this. Many people leave this step for last. It’s completely upon you when you want to do this. I have used Technic Bronze palette’s gold shade. (Read review here)

4.     Next use a flat brush to pat in black eyeshadow on your upper eyelid. Do not worry about shape. We are going to blend it anyway. Just ensure the shadow remains till the crease line of your eyelid and does not go over it. I have used the Noir shade from Sleek Au Naturel palette (Read review here)

5.     Now take your favourite kajal and draw a thick line on your upper lash line and also tightline the upper water line with it.

6.     Using a smudger brush or q-tip smudge the line upwards like this.

7.     Now, with a plumy brown eyeshadow and a fluffy brush, blend the crease line properly. The gradient should be from intense black at the lashline to softer brown towards crease and finally highlight at the brow bone.

8.     Draw a thick kajal line on your lower lashline but leave out the innermost corner.

9.     Again, taking the soft plumy brown eyeshadow on the smudger, soften the intense kohl line like this. Leaving out the innermost corner will ensure you do not end up looking like raccoon eyes :P

10.                         Now, using a fluffy brush use a pale gold eyeshadow on the innermost corner of your eyes. And please remember to blend it VERY well. I have seen people with distinct highlight lines there and it looks bad L

11.                        Lastly, apply your favourite lengthening and volumizing mascara and you are done :D You may use false lashes as well but since I am not comfortable with them, I have not used falsies J

12.                        Ta-daaaaaa! Here you are!

Now complete your face makeup with your choice of foundation, concealers and a very light blush. I have used MAC Face and Body C3 foundation, LA Pro Girl concealers and NYX dusty rose blush. Finally use your favourite lipstick. I have lined and filled my lips with LOreal paris Infallible lip liner in Mauve and Lakme 9 to 5 liner in Red Alert. Then, I have topped with MAC Ruby Woo J
