Hey lovelies! If you have gone through my post on Gillette Subscribe to Smooth event, you must know by now that we had taken up the
Gillette Subscribe to Smooth Challenge to help our readers (including
ourselves!) to bust all myths regarding shaving and razors. Today’s post will
be on busting Myth
No 1: Shaving leaves skin dry and flaky. Let’s see how true or false
is that!
Before I start, I would like to give you a glimpse of the
Gillette Venus shaving kit that we received at the event. The contents of the
kit are available individually over the counter as well.
It contains one
Gillette Venus Razor, one Gillette Satin care Shave Gel and a pack of two Venus
cartridges.

Just have a look at the “curvy” Venus razor body. It is needless to say
that it gives a perfect
grip during shaving. No more “slipping off and cutting” issues.
Also, the razor-head
is flexible which means there is no extra pressure on skin while
shaving. This actually helps you avoid those nicks and cuts.

Although I am a “soap water and razor” kind of girl, every now
and then I prefer using a shave gel just for the extra smoothness it gives. I
loved how “fluffy” this shaving gel from
Gillette is! Compared to soap, it did give me a better lubrication while
shaving.

And now it’s time for you to decide whether the MYTH is busted
or not: This is my hand just after using Gillette Venus Razor. No moisturizer
applied yet. I could feel that there was no dryness or flakiness on my skin. I
am sure you can see that too. But yes, even though Venus razor does not leave
your skin dry, it is always a good idea to slather on some moisturizer after
any shaving ritual, just to give your skin that little extra care.

So from my end MYTH no.1 BUSTED: Shaving does not leave skin dry and flaky.
