I had to take a more than ten-days break from blogging
because we welcomed our bundle of joy on March 26th J For a
first-time inexperienced mom, handling a baby boy and the blog simultaneously
proved to be impossible for me, but I have some personal deadlines to meet for
the blog as well, so here I am with a new post while my little man is sleeping.
Today’s review will be on four chubby lipstick crayons which were a part of the
PR package I received from Charis.Enterprise ( The main dealer of Sivanna
cosmetics in India)

Packaging:
I have decided to club these four lipsticks together
since the packaging of these are similar i.e chubby retractable crayon sticks.
The Sivanna Colors lipstick crayon comes in a black chubby pencil body with a
colored twist-up bottom (color matches the shade of the lipstick) and a clear
cap. The Gina Glam lipstick crayon comes as matte gold colored chubby lipstick
pencils with twist up bottoms as well. However, unlike the Sivanna ones, the
bottoms are not shade colored. While the Sivanna ones have shade numbers
mentioned on them, Gina Glam lipsticks do not have any shade name or number
mentioned anywhere on them.

My
Take:
The first lip pencil from Gina Glam is a bubble-gum
pink and the second one is a rusty nude. Sivanna 04 shade is a blue-based hot
pink and Sivanna 01 is a light coral. All the shades, unfortunately, would suit
only lighter complexions and un-pigmented lips.

The texture of the lipsticks is semi-creamy. They swatch
really well on inner wrist. However, the pigmentation does not translate as
intense on the lips. I have pigmented lips, and these chubby sticks are more
like moisturizing lip tints on my lips. I am fond of the warm rusty shade from
Gina Glam lipsticks and shade 04 from Sivanna as they look good as tints on my
lips. The other two shades wash me out totally.
The feel is quite “balmy” and comfortable and they stay
for around 4 hours with light snacks in between.

Recommendation:
I would suggest picking up deeper shades from these
two lipstick ranges since lighter shades would not show up well on the lips.
