Review of Colorbar Luxe Nail Lacquer 79 Pretty Please

Hey beauties! I am back with a whole new look on the blog. This had been on my mind since forever and finally it could see the light of the day :P So I am currently an excited bubble. Please do let me know how the baby looks now! Coming back to review, this will be a super short review on one of my recent purchases. You must know my love for solid colored nails as opposed to pretty nail-arts (Read review of Miss Claire French Manicure Kit HERE). Since I am butter-fingers when it comes to drawing even a dot on my nails, I stick to traditional opaque nails. Also, with passing years, I am getting inclined onto nudes, tans, pastel pinks for nails (Which is a surprise considering Mint and turquoise were the most frequent nail colors I sported during college days). So, last Sunday I spotted this beauty in the Colorbar counter and couldn’t help myself :D Read on to find why I chose this shade and how did it fare.

Review of Colorbar Luxe Nail Lacquer 79 Pretty Please

My take: The shade 79 Pretty Please is a gorgeous warm deep nude shade (if that makes sense). It would be a wonderful nude shade for deep-skinned beauties and for medium and fair skinned ladies it would be a lovely earthy orange. For me it is a perfect rust which I can wear to work.

The texture is not goop-y and you can easily apply without fear of streaks. It dries pretty fast and I always apply two coats to get the exact color on the bottle.

Coming to staying power, with all the typing in office, and dusting, washing utensils, cooking, cutting etc at home (I do not have a maid), the polish is still there after two days only with a slight chip at the tip of my thumb. So I believe that conscious ladies can carry this un-chipped for atleast 5-6 days.

Overall, I am pretty happy with this shade mainly because while “Sally Hansen Bare It All Xtreme Wear Nail color (HERE) is a lovely nude, it may not suit ladies with deeper complexion. But this shade is a winner for all complexions!
