Review of Svayam Natural Apricot Face Serum with Almond Oil and Patchouli
Review of Svayam Natural Apricot Face Serum with Almond Oil and Patchouli |
Hey beauties! I am hugely apologetic for being
absent in the blog for so long. I have just shifted cities from Bangalore to
Mumbai and I am finally able to be a “homing pigeon” with my husband after more
than a year of marriage (Read our unusual story HERE). In all the hustle and bustle of shifting, arranging our new
home, adjusting to a brand new workplace (sigh!), I had no option but to zip up
the blog work for a long time. Today, however, I felt that enough is enough,
and I need to buckle up my shoes again! I am sure you all must have read about
how excited I was on using the natural beauty products from Svayam Natural (read HERE). So after the scrubs and
face pack it is time for a facial serum! Read on to find how it fared on my
skin
Product name: Svayam Natural Apricot Face Serum

Price: Rs.525 for 100ml (Considering
the sky high price range of any other facial serum, this one is quite a steal)

Packaging:
A transparent plastic bottle with a tin cap- And no stopper inside. Yes. So if
you are an unmindful little butterfly like me, expect the serum to spill out
everywhere around you L I wish they included a stopper inside.

My take:
You must have read about my experience with the cult facial serum “The Bodyshop Vitamin E overnight serum in oil (Click to read review)”. Although I love that serum in warm or humid
weather, my dry skin needs more than an “oil-free” serum to look refreshed the
next morning. So when I received this bottle, I was quite pleased.

The oil (it is basically a mixture of oils so I
would rather call it that) smells exactly like freshly ground almond. It is
non-greasy and light and after two minutes of massaging onto cleansed skin, the
oil gets absorbed. Also, even on my dry skin the serum leaves about 15% of
residue after massaging is completed. But after about twenty minutes all that
is left is smooth and moisturized skin. So I generally alternate between this
serum and the Body Shop one. This I use when my skin needs extra nourishment
and the other one I use when the weather is humid and a little something is
enough for skin pampering J

Overall, I would consider this as a good option for
skin pampering before bedtime. Because of its light nature, it would suit across all skin types.
Give this a try if you want to give your skin a nutrient boost every night
without piling on chemicals J
