Hi ladies! We all know how a well-groomed pair of eyebrows can
change your entire look and make you look “sorted”. Women around the world use
various techniques ranging from threading to plucking and waxing and then going
on to artificially filling the sparse brows with makeup pigments to make them
look fuller. We have also heard of the brow tattooing trend although I am not
very sure of the idea on myself anyday as I prefer a more natural look which
can be achieved with a brown eyeshadow filling in the sparse areas of the
brows. But recently, an interesting trend has come up in the world “eyebrow
perfecting” scene and it is called “Microblading”. Read on to find more about
it and see if you would be daring enough to try it out!
What is
Microblading of eyebrows? This new technique -microblading eyebrows is
a boon for ladies with sparse hair growth in their brows or those suffering
from bald patches in brows caused due to alopecia. This is a manual and
semi-permanent method, which usually lasts upto three years and involves
using a very
fine blade to deposit pigments matching the eye brow colour, into the epidermis.
The strokes used by the blade would be very fine and thus resembling “hair”.
How is it
done? Once you fix the appointment with the microblading specialist,
he/she would consult and discuss on what would be the ideal brow shape for your
face. Following that numbing creams are slathered around your brows along with
a liquid anesthetic so that least discomfort is experienced during the process.
After this the specialist starts working on your brows and the entire procedure
can last up to 2 hours. It is an extremely meticulous process and the brow
expert will not rush to complete it in an hour.

What is
the healing time? Although the healing can take about a month but
the best part about this technique is that immediately after the process, your
eyebrows are “selfie-ready” ;) There is no visible soreness or redness. Experts
advise to come back after a month to check the healing stage.
What is
the cost involved? Now here is the catch: A microblading session can
cost anything between $700-800!! While indulging in a luxury like this once in
a while might be okay for people from developed countries like USA, 99% people
from our country would cringe at the thought of spending that much just for
eyebrows (Roughly Rs.48,000). Nevertheless, experts argue that this amount is
worth it when you get to wake up to perfect brows every day without having to
fill in or shape your brows everytime you go out. To each his own J

of services in India: This is a very recent trend and thus it will take
time before it reaches India. Currently, it is very popular in Canada.
