Review of Miss Claire French Manicure Kit
Review of Miss Claire French Manicure Kit |
Hey girlies, today’s review will be on a Miss Claire product.
Miss Claire is creating a furore in the beauty blogosphere with their soft
matte lip creams which are of superior quality and a very low price tag. I
recently did a small haul from Miss Claire and today it is the turn of this
baby ;) I had always admired nail art tutorials which are everywhere on net
these days, but when it comes to doing them on my nails, I invariably end up
with a mess :-/ So my first preference for nails is always a solid colour
(mostly pastels and sometimes bold reds or fuchsias). But a clean French
manicure always makes me go weak in my knees because of its classy and
sophisticated nature. There are many “nail-art salons” these days which give you
these luxuries but at a hefty cost. I cannot afford to shell out too much bucks
for a nail art and therefore this “at home” kit was an instant buy for me.

Packaging: It
comes in a cute cube shaped plastic kit which fits in our palm and houses four
nail paints and four strips of tip stickers. The container locks properly owing
to these unique flaps and is thus travel friendly.

My Take: The
four nail polishes included in the kit are as follows:

1. The
base pale pink shade. This shade looks milky pink in the bottle but is in fact
a VERY natural pink on nails. It woul just give a slight tinge of color on
nails.

2. The
white tip paint. This is an opaque white which needs just a single coat for
that solid white tip.

3. The
top coat. This is the transparent top coat to be applied at last to seal your
manicure.

4. The
pale gold polish. A very sophisticated pale champagne gold shade if you want to
try something other than the base pink.

5. There
are also four strips of nail tip stickers (Each strip having ten tips) to help
you get that precise white tip.

·
Buff and shape your nails before you start
with polishes. A clean base always gives better results
·
Keep a bowl of ice cold water ready. Once
you are done with application of pink shade, wait a few seconds dip your
fingers in the bowl. The nail paint will dry up immediately and there will be
no risk of “fingerprints” on them.
·
Before sticking the tip-stickers lessen
their adhesive a little by dabbing them on your palm first.
·
Wipe off excess white polish on the bottle
and apply a very thin layer on the tip of the finger nail. This will ensure
there is no “blob” of white polish at the end.
·
Let it dry naturally this time. Do not dip
your hands again in the bowl. The paper in the sticker will melt and the
adhesive will be stuck on your nails.
·
Peel off the stickers once the white paint
is dry.
·
Seal will top coat and once again dip your
fingers in the ice cold water.
