The bride who ditched the Benarasi: Sanandita
Hello Beautiful ladies! J As
promised we are back with Real Brides on your very own Bridal Banter. This time
our bride chose to do something different from other Bengali brides. She had
tied the knot three years ago and it was a very fresh move then- she ditched
Benaroshi saree and chunky gold jewellery which is trademark of every Bengali
bride and chose something new. Find out out more here!
Attire and Jewellery On D-Day: Sanandita chose a deep
red khaadi-georgette saree with golden zari work for her D-Day instead of a
blood-red banarasi saree. The veil was also customized by herself- it had
beautiful zardosi work borders on it. To accompany this fresh new look, she
wore “polki” jewellery instead of chunky gold jewellery which we feel is
perfect with this saree.
Attire and Jewellery On the Reception: If you follow Bridal Banter, you will know how obsessed I am with what the bride chooses for the reception more than the day itself, because more often than not, reception drapes of Bengali brides do not turn out to be what they planned to wear (Read “Blue Banarasi”) :P But our special bride Sanandita gave a new twist on her reception too! She chose a Bangalore Silk Saree with “Aari” embroidery in a lovely purple-mauve shade. Her veil was a soft golden one this time. And her kundan jewellery (with a delicate tiara) completed her lovely attire J

Makeup Magic: The man responsible for Sanandita’s
STUNNING and glowing look is the famous Kolkata-based makeup artist Ujjwal
Debnath. He gave her an oh-so-gorgeous winged eyeliner look with cherry lips on
her wedding. For her reception there was soft peachy eyeshadow and smoked out kajal
on her eyes and a lip color perfectly matching with her saree color: A pinkish
mauve (We don’t mean same color when we say matching, we mean a color which
best suited the saree shade). Sanandita already has super defined sharp
features and we loved how Ujjwal da played with highlighter and soft blushes
more than contouring J Overall,
he succeeded in creating a divine look J
