Winters bade goodbye and its already spring. Summers will come knocking soon
enough and it’s time to bring out those colorful breezy dresses from the closet
;) And which summer look can be complete
without a fresh coral lipstick to brighten your face? :D Presenting before you
all, a jewel of a true coral lipstick which will instantly glam you up without

the packaging of this lipstick. It’s fun, bright and young :D The color of the
cover depicts the approximate color of the lipstick.

My take:
Shade-wise the lipstick is a true coral one. It is very bright and almost verges
on the neon side. I doubt if the deeper complexions will be comfortable wearing this one, but it’s a sure
winner for fair and medium complexions.

Texture of this
lipstick is somewhere between sheer and opaque. Multiple swipes can fully cover
pigmented lips but single swipe will not give the desired coverage. I prefer
using it mostly as a coral lip tint by just dabbing some amount on the center
of both upper and lower lips and mix it together by pursing the lips. For a
lipstick categorized as “matte”, this texture is truly confusing. I have used C-O-M-P-L-E-T-E
mattes like MAC Ruby Woo and semi-mattes like Faces Ultime Pro Long Wear Matte Lipstick in Read My Lips, but this lipstick for me cannot be included in the
matte family. It is more of a sheer lipstick texture with a burst of color (ok,
I know am confusing. The swatches will clarify what I want to say)

The staying power
is around 3-4 hours on me but it does leave a very strong tint behind. So, your
lips won’t be devoid of color even when the lipstick is “dutifully” licked off
:P
Enough of blabber!
Have a look at the swatches. In the second swatch, I have compared it with MAC Impassioned. Remember how I was ranting about Impassioned not suiting me because
it was too neon? Beside this, Impassioned looks like a cool pink :P But
somehow, I LOVE Mat 2! I am a crazy cat!

Overall, I am fan
off this color, but the texture would require good exfoliation and moisturization
of the lips because of its tendency of exaggerating dry lips. Otherwise, it
would look unflattering.
