Hey everyone!! With the beauty awareness growing day by day, people are now more conscious about what they use for their precious skin and hair. Blessed with good skin gene from my mum, I never was too brand conscious when it came to skincare products, mostly because we were used to applying home made cleansers and ubtans since childhood. But all my good skin blessings vanished when I had to leave my hometown (Which is a HEAVEN when it comes to climate) for a hostel stay of 6 long years in another state. The "normal" summer temperature of that place was 45-46 degrees with extreme dry and hot winds and no rain for days! To top it all, the only mode of commuting to the University was by bicycle! Meaning that sun god "showered all his blessings on us! No amount of sunscreen, dupatta covers and umbrellas could save my skin from becoming four shades darker along with lot of rashes and pigmentation. 

I came back home this July after completion of my post graduation with red blotchy and itching rashes all over my legs and hands. These calmed down when homemade ubtans were applied, but resurfaced again. I could not use commercially available soaps as they worsened the condition! Thus, rescue came in the form of this handmade delight by Gayatri. She is the owner of Gia Bath & Body works and you can see her wonderful creations here

My take: I have been using Gayatri's handmade marvels since long and now I shall be reviewing them one by one on the blog :) The soaps although do not have a therapeutic claim, this one calmed down my rashes almost by 75% at the first use itself! I could not believe my eyes! The ultimate softening and soothing agents in the soap sans ANY chemical might just be the cause :D The soap smells heavenly too and my dry skin loves the moisturized feel the soap leaves after washing it off. It won't be an exaggeration if I say that the lather looks like milk ;) I am so so so happy with the effect. 

Coming to the size, the bar is huge and I cut it into two halves and each half lasts long.

Although the knife cuts through the bar even more easily than you would cut a pastry, but it seriously breaks my heart to do that :'(

I can go on and on about how wonderful it is ^_^
