Review of Daily Life Forever52 Gel Eyeliner and Tattoo GT008 Chocolate

A brown eyeliner is a saviour for days when you want a polished natural makeup look and prominent eyes, but do not want to go overboard with too many pigments. A dewy face, neat eyebrows, dusty pink lip tint and some brown eyeliner smudged over my eyes is my go-to daily makeup. I fell in love with brown eyeliners almost a decade back during my university days because they give a beautiful but subtle brightness to eyes without the starkness of a black kajal. I have tried many Indian and foreign brands to find my perfect brown liner. Esqido Gel eyeliners was one such British company which had send me their liners for review. I had immensely loved those as well (Read review HERE). However, today’s review is of a brand easily available in India.

Shade: GT008 Chocolate (Available Shades: GT001 Jet Black, GT002 Dark Brown, GT003 (Taupe kind of shade, name not mentioned), GT008 (Chocolate). These are the shades available in Nykaa. Some extra shades such a White is also available on their website HERE

Price: Rs. 575 MRP but always on discount online. I purchased for 475/- from Nykaa

My take: The eyeliner comes bottled in the classic gel eyeliner glass tub. The brand also provides two tiny brushes which are very handy for applying the liner. One is a flat angular brush and other is a fine tipped round brush. Both the brushes are of good quality and do not shed hair.

The shade Chocolate is a cool toned deep brown, much to my relief because I hate warm brown on my eyes. This shade will suit across all complexions.

The texture is smooth and extremely pigmented. For the first few days I could use it easily to line thinnest of lines as well. However, now after a month or so, I feel the gel eyeliner has slightly dried out (Which is the problem with all gel eyeliners!) and so thin lines are difficult to achieve. But if you use a product like Inglot Duraline, you can get the original texture again (read Review HERE)

Check out the swatches here! Once applied, it sets and doesn’t budge unless vigorously rubbed. It survives water splashes and sweat, however if you rub with water or facewash, it comes off easily.
