Review and Swatches of My Glamm Super Serum Foundation 201W Crepe, 102N Lightful
My Glamm Super Serum Foundation 201W Crepe, 102N Lightful |
Hey beauties! Are you also ever disappointed with your foundation purchases? You buy a hyped product and find out that its texture is not exactly what you wanted, or worse the shade is totally wrong for you? It happened multiple times with me: either the formula was off, or the shade made me look like an overripe orange or gave me a deathly ashy look. In all these years of buying and using makeup products, when it came to foundation, I am always disappointed. I like sheer to medium coverage ones which retain the natural skin look. Read on to see if this new launch by My Glamm could fulfil my wants:

My
Take: After going through tens of reviews on Amazon, I
picked up the shades Lightful and Crepe. My
skin tone right now is medium to fair which very slightly tends towards warm
undertones. But mostly, all foundations meant for “warm” skin tones, are
way too orange on me. And the pinkish cool toned ones make me go grey. You can
see the swatches 102N Lightful has a slight
yellow tone to it and 201W is a true beige with no such warm or cool tones to
it: a neutral one that is! I am confused why Lightful is marked with “N”
(Neutral) and Crepe is marked with W (Warm). Anyway, Crepe turned out to be an
EXACT match to my face, while Lightful is slightly brightening. For everyday
use, just to get a polished look on my face, I would reach out to Crepe and Lightful
would be good for evenings where a little brightening doesn’t do harm.

Texture wise, although “Serum-infused” I found this
foundation to be sufficiently thick. If used with a brush or blender, it could
give good coverage. The following pictures show application with fingertips
only (because I am a lazy sloth). It doesn’t cover my deep-set pigmentation
around the eyes, but gives a polished enough look to the face.

Over all, if you manage to find your exact shade, then
this foundation is something worth adding in your kit. In the pictures above,
you can see my bare face with no base makeup (only eyebrow filled), a layer of Crepe
all over and then below one with some powder, and a lip tint used over eyes as well.
