Hey ladies! If you have been following me on Instagram, you must have seen the picture where I have was jumping like a bubble about laying my hands on yet another budget find. This time, it is in line with the recent craze in beauty world which does not seem to end very soon: Matte Lips! And who doesn’t like good quality products at a steal price? Many of you know about my obsession with Miss Claire products. So much that I bought twelve shades from their popular Soft Matte Lip Cream range (Read Review HERE) and not to forget their cutesy French Manicure Kit (Read Review HERE). So recently, I bagged four shades from their Longlasting Matte lipsticks and here are my thoughts on them!

Product Name: Miss Claire Long Lasting Matte Lipsticks
Shades: 31 Solid Red, 20 Antique Rose, 34 Dark Pink and 17 Beige
Price: I got them for Rs.200 each. The price range varies from 200 to 350 in Instagram retail pages.
Quantiy and Shelf Life: 2.5gm and Two years
Where to buy them from: Beautysixteen Page from Instagram (HERE), or from your local shops if you find them!

Packaging: These come in form of slim-sticks which are colour coded as per the lipstick shade inside. The outside packaging is matte which means no issue of ugly fingerprints (Yay!). The lipstick bullet is much like the very famous Colorpop Lippiestix. The cap clicks shut effectively and thus these can be travel friendly as well.

My Take: Let me first talk about the shades I have picked-
·        31 Solid Red- A true bright red. It does not verge on neon side and so is wearable by every complexion alike.
·        20 Antique Rose- A warm dusty pink. A perfect my-lips-but-better shade for warm skinned ladies of any complexion. It might be a tad warmer for cool toned ladies
·        34 Dark Pink- This shade is a misnomer because it is nothing close to dark pink, rather a pretty Barbie pink. The shade would work beautifully for cool toned ladies and would also look great on warm toned beauties if we use a tad darker lip pencil underneath.
·        17 Beige- This is a perfect nude shade. It would suit across eevery skin tone if you know how to work with nude shades. Please do not confuse MLBB shades and nude shades. Read this post HERE to see how you can work with nude shades or you will end up looking like you have just applied concealer to your lips (eeyew!)

Now, coming to texture and pigmentation, the texture is best described as “soft matte” and buttery. It glides like a dream and covers all lip pigmentation in one swipe. It looks slightly creamy on immediate application and settles to a perfect matte in ten seconds. And by that I mean no flaky or parched lips kind of look: it looks smooth and comfortable on lips. It does not settle in lines at all and does not feel like you have put poster colors on your lips which the Incolor matte me lip colors made me feel (Read review HERE). The fragrance is of caramel toffee. Yummm!

And now coming to the most important part: the longevity. So, my office cab picks me up at 4:45 AM. Yes, when the whole world sleeps L And I am not fond of using office washroom as powder-room, so I end up getting fully dressed and decked at home itself. So I applied two shades, Solid Red as a tint and then Antique Rose over that. Then I had breakfast at 8 AM (Medu vada sambar and bread pakora!) and the color remained intact. Even in the AC environment, the texture of lipstick did not feel stretchy of tugging at all. Post that, I visited washroom twice and was surprised to see the colour still vibrant. Then at 12.30PM, I had a full plate of Indian meal and finally I saw the colour fading a bit. Still, it was in no way ugly patchy fading: It was as if the colour got lighter by two shades :D By this time I was whopping with joy. And since my testing period was done, I did not keep a track after that.

So yes ladies, a whopping 8 hours no fading! Needless to say, I highly recommend this range. There are some other deeper shades which I am dying to try out now. Let me know if you also have these lippers and how you feel about them J
